Magnificent beach-front condominium for the ultimate beach vacation getaway.
Our newly remodeled beach condominium is located on the most breath-taking beach on Oahu, a short 40 min drive up the West Oahu Coast from the Honolulu airport. Come relax on Makaha Beach, with its white sands, crystal clear water and magnificent sunsets.Enjoy the panorama view of ocean. Disney Resort in Ko-Olina 11 miles from our Condo.
The condominium was completely remodeled in April 2007 with total up dated kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops newer rangetop and cabinits.
Ceramic tile floors, ceiling fans, vertical blinds and rattan furniture provide the perfect Hawaiian ambiance without over welming 'tropical' color and decorations liked some other condo. You are there to enjoy fabulous ocean, sunset and, for rest and relaxation.
Retired nurse from Seattle. I have family in Bellingham Washington. My husband is a handy man live in site. We live in Makaha full year, make visit to mainland often. We enjoy this beautiful beach, also it is so nice to fall a sleep with the sound of waves and occasionally we can see turtles swimming in the ocean and seals land on our beach front. It is a ultimate paradise !!
Kay Baxter purchased this condo in 2005
Hawaiian Princess is private and away from the hussle and busstle of Waikiki and Honolulu. This high rise are located right on the water and the beach is just steps away. No drive, just carry your beach chairs on to the beach. Visit to Waikiki will only take 55minute to hour drive if you would like to see more tourists or shopping.
It's very quiet on the unit with a spectacular panoramic ocean view. You can still hear the gentle surf in the background to lull you to sleep.
We love our stay there. Mom and dad always wanted a home on the water and now they got to experience it. The suite has everything you need and if not the grocery stores up the street have you covered. I can't wait to stay here again!
My husband & I just returned home from a wonderful 12 day stay at the Hawaiian Princess. The unit was set up with everything we could need. The kitchen is nicely stocked with nice assortment of cooking needs-many spices, lots of cookware, dishware and serving pieces. The bedroom, eating and living room spaces were nicely furnished and comfortable. The best part is the lanai that has an amazing view of the beach & ocean. We saw whales, turtles and sunsets that were spectacular. We walked everyday around the area and enjoyed golfing at the Makaha golf course that was just minutes away. We ventured out of the area a couple of times-once to drive up to the North Shore to watch the surfers and golf at Turtle Bay and another golf outing to Ewa Beach. Both easy drives but for the most part we just enjoyed the quiet beauty of Makaha Beach. Kay and her husband were easily available for any questions-thanks Kay!
Having stayed at the Hawaiian Princess many times in the past, I can say that this was the nicest unit we have ever stayed in It was wonderfully decorated and had all the amenities and more that we could ask for. The view from the lanai is amazing and we were treated with seeing turtles, whales, dolphins, flying fish and for the first time a monk seal that sunned himself all day on the beach and returned to the water when the sun went down. We would stay here again.
We just completed a week long stay in this unit. I really want to share how truly wonderful it was. This building faces out onto what seems like a private beach where turtles and whales frequently swim by. It is functional, comfortable, cozy, romantic and a true home away. Kay and her husband, who we met on our last morning, are perfect hosts. The suite has everything you could need.
A little about the town. It's about 45 mins from Waikiki but we never felt we had to leave. There are 3 grocery stores 10-20mins away by car. The Sac N Save is the cheapest of them all. For eating out I highly recommend the Salad Bar or the Mexican restaurant which are right across from Jack N' the Box. Also for a "date night" try Coquitos. We walked, it's BYOB and will take about 25mins. But you can always count on an AMAZING sunset regardless of what you are doing whether it be walking the beach, having wine on the lanai, or being social down by the buildings bbq area. This is something else that needs to be mentioned, The Hawaiian Princess in itself is a well maintained, totally secure and profession establishment. The mix of regulars, residents and first timers makes for some great elevator rides.
This is our second time coming to this area and we will 100% be staying here again!!!
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)
P.S. Make sure you are home between 2-6 if you are there in Jan-March as this is prime sunset time.
This condo was perfect! The kitchen was very well equipped; the furnishings were tasteful; and the unit was extremely clean. The photos do not do justice to the gorgeous views from the lanai. This tucked away corner of Oahu is quiet, not touristy, and beautiful. We loved hiking on the trail toward Kaena Point, playing tennis on the property's court, and eating the local food. The managers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely stay here again!
From the beginning, this was an easy choice for us. Val and the owner made this (first VRBO) so simple and painless a process. Upon arrival we were met by a friendly crew from mgmt. staff who made access to the unit so simple. This unit offers the stunning views you came to the islands to enjoy. Everything you need is already there. Just grab your groceries on the way in and you are set. Met really nice people there while grilling on the giant Weber grills too. In Hawaii the family unit is most important- Ohana. At Hawaiian Princess it is evident at every point of contact. We loved our stay and already planning our next visit. Thanks again to everyone involved there.
