Perfectly located - very quiet, yet only a half mile from town. This beautiful home is directly on Oak Bluffs Harbor. You can relax on the back porch and watch all the comings and goings of harbor traffic. There is a deep water dock if you want to bring your boat along on vacation. Four of the five bedrooms have a view of the harbor, as well as the dining room, living room and sun porch. The town of Oak Bluffs is only a short walk away. There are many restaurants, pubs, movie theaters, ice cream and coffee shops, a food market and post office located around the harbor and on the main street of town. Public transportation is available, as well as bicycle, scooter and car rentals. You can take a bus tour of the island, rent boats and jet skis, or take a local fishing trip. There is a public beach only 0.2 miles away.

Our property is located within a half mile of downtown Oak Bluffs with numerous shops, restaurants and pubs. Also available are bicycle, scooter & car rentals, sightseeing bus tours, the 'Flying Horses' (the oldest working carousel in the country), movie theaters, ice cream and coffee shops, beaches and parks. There are ferries to and from Woods Hole, Falmouth, Hyannis, New Bedford, Rhode Island and Nantucket Island. There is a food market and a post office downtown and a liquor / convenience store only a block from the house. Numerous restaurants will satisfy everyone's tastes.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 50% deposit is required along with a signed rental agreement within 7 days of making a reservation. The balance plus a $600 refundable security deposit is due 45 days before arrival. Any damage to the property and furnishings, or excessive cleaning required will be deducted from the security deposit. Lease will not be guaranteed if final payment is not received 45 days prior to arrival.
  • If a cancellation is necessary, every effort will be made to re-book the reservation time with another tenant. If the time is filled, a full refund will be made. If we are unable to fill the rental time, all deposits or fees paid will be forfeited.

  • Two of the upstairs bedrooms have a pedestal sink in them. The King upstairs bedroom has a seating area with two chairs and a table. The downstairs master bedroom has a nice, antique vanity and chair. The 'pink room' double bed room has a love seat at one end. The three bedrooms with the double and king beds are very large and roomy and have window AC units in them.

Notes: We will provide start-up paper towels and toilet paper. Telephone has unlimited long distance within the continental US ONLY. There are window AC units in the 3 bedrooms with the double and king beds. There is space for 2 boats to tie up at the deep water dock. There is a table on the porch which can seat 4-5 people for dining. There is seating on the sun porch for 10 + in addition to the living room seating mentioned above. Most people spend their time on the sun porch and porch. For cool weather, there is electric heat on the sunporch and 2 oil circulating space heaters.
