Quirky old but comfortable mid-century house in the middle of the Cultural District. The retro kitchen is fully equipped for the foodie and the greatest grocery store on the planet is minutes away. Two eating areas, a formal dining with six big arm chairs and a breakfast area with seating for four. The patio also has seating at a picnic table for dinners.
The hardwood floors and leather furniture help to make the place family friendly. It is also a quiet neighborhood for adults only. The living room is open to the dining room. There are three exterior doors, the entry from the front porch, a small French door to the yard from the bedroom that has a private bath, one off the breakfast room to the patio.
There are two kings, one is a split memory foam with separate sheets sets. The beds can be adjusted to raise feet or head and each has a vibration mode for feet or whole body. There is a big bath across the hall. The baths have been updated. Living room can sleep two, each king room can sleep up to three. The double can sleep two. The guest house can sleep two in a queen bed. The guest house has bath, kitchen and small sitting area with one red leather chair. Very small but cute room.
This is a clean, comfortable home in a quiet safe neighborhood that your family and friends will feel welcome in.
We are a ranching family that raises horses, cows, buffalo, rodeo cowboys and state wrestling champions. We show cutting horses. Our trainer is a member of the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame. We are AAA cutting horse judges. We have four children and five grand children.
Virginia McLamb purchased this house in 2009
This is our primary home. We go to the ranch when we need to be there. We are on the road about a third of the time to go to horse shows and three of them are right across the street at the Will Rogers Coliseum. We live in Fort Worth full time APRIL, JULY and NOVEMBER/DECEMBER. Mama uses this home more than Papa as an escape from the country and as an art studio for some peace and quiet from the business, located in the cowboy capital, Stephenville, TEXAS, USA.
The fireworks and music from the Botanical Gardens can be seen and heard on summer nights. We have a great view from the front porch. Like to walk to the Kimbell Art Museum for their buffet lunch or to the Amon Carter or The Modern for an art exhibit. It is just so close to all the wonderful restaurants, the zoo, the shopping areas and cultural activities that we don't get in the country where our business is located.
Northside Fort Worth is a few minutes away. Stockyards, longhorn cattle drive, rodeo, several saloons and a giant western dance hall. Lots of Cowboys and Cowgirls. The Will Rogers Memorial Center also hosts year round horse shows and other events of interest. There is a big flea market across the street, gun shows, bridal shows and other merchandise shows.
