Condo, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

We fell in love with Steamboat back when our son was 2 years old and our daughter was 5. The programs for children are superb, and the snow is the best in the world as far as we are concerned. We purchased a 4 BR/3 BA condo at Promontory in 1986, and then purchased the unit next door with another 4 BR and 3 BA in 1996. You can rent one unit or rent both units for a total of 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Both units have new kitchens - new cabinets, new appliances, new granite counter tops. Both units have a beautiful view of the Yampa Valley from their balcony. The units are a great value with only an easy three minute walk to the Gondola. Call for details.

Our children are now grown, married, and we have 5 grandchildren who have all learned to ski at Steamboat. Family ski trips are super. Skiing is one of the few activities that an adult and a young child can enjoy together each doing the same thing and enjoying the experience for many of the same reasons. The kids also love the Steamboat ski school when we are not skiing all together.

Promontory is a three minute walk (350 paces) to the forth gondola tower where we snap on skis and ski down to the gondola, or where we ski to at the end of the day to walk 3 minutes back to the condo. There is a great hot tub and a slightly cooler large pool for swimming all year long. In Promontory 13, Bedroom 1 has a King bed. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds. Bedroom 4 has 2 Queen beds. Promontory 15 is similar but bedroom 1 has 2 bunk beds, each with an upper and lower bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have Queen beds, and bedroom 4 has 2 queen beds. Because of this difference Promontory 15 sleeps 12 instead of 10 for Promontory 13.

We have spent a great deal of time and money to make the two units attractive and we hope you love them as much as we love them. The vrbo listing number for Promontory 15 is 316614.

About The Owner

My wife Jackie and I are avid skiers and we have skied in most of the major ski areas in the US and several abroad, but we love Steamboat best. We love the Champagne Powder and we love the mountain. Our grandchildren love the ski school, and they all learned to ski at Steamboat. We also love the town, including the many great restaurants. When we are not skiing we run a high tech company that specializes in robotics. We are now partly retired and the next generation of leaders is now doing the day to day management of our company.
