Prescott is located in central Arizona and is known as the “Mile High” city (5300 ft.) and Arizona's Christmas city. Prescott is 100 miles north of Phoenix and about 100 miles southwest of Flagstaff. Drive to the Grand Canyon or Sedona and the red rock country. Our cabin in the pines is a little over one mile from the court house square, in a quiet, forested neighborhood with a creek near by. During the summer there are arts & crafts shows on the court house lawn, ever other week end from Memorial day in May to Labor day in September. Other events include, the 4th of July rodeo and parade, the Whiskey Row marathon, Tsunami on the Square performing arts festival, and an art walk every fourth Friday of month. Early in December our court house is lit with colorful lights while you enjoy the Acker Music Festival, which takes place in merchants shops around the square. There are two small lakes in the area. Prescott has many antique stores and great restaurants.
