UPGRADED! UNIQUE SOUTHWESTERN DESERT EXPERIENCE in 1400 sq ft Casa

This is a wonderful place to stay if you enjoy georgeous sunsets and sunrises, desert bird calls and peace and quiet. The casita is perfectly maintained and the well stocked kitchen is as easy as being home. Many good resturants and shopping areas are right around the corner, as are walking and biking trails. This is a home away from home and Jerome and Linda make you feel like family guests. My husband and I spent seven lovely days here and plan to come back. I would recommend it highly.

My wife and I spent a good share of January through March in the casita. We wanted to have time to get to know the area around north Scottsdale, and the casita was a wonderful home base for exploring the area. The casita is far enough from the owners' home that you feel you have your privacy, and yet they make certain you have what is needed to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. This is in a beautiful area of the Sonoran desert, and we enjoyed taking walks in the desert on the trails available. For mountain bikers, there are a lot of trails in the McDowell Mtn. Preserve, as well as closer at hand in the area just northeast of Pima/Dynamite intersection; if you're here for an extended stay, the mountain biking can be a lot of fun once you find the trails.

We had a real feeling of being out in nature, with the birds waking us every morning to feed alongside the rabbits outside the casita patio. It was fun to see the screech owl perched in the saguaro by the casita, and we were pleased to see a beautiful bobcat once.

We were in the area long enough, we were able to experience a change in the season, with many of the desert plants leafing out, and the floor of the desert was covered with a patchwork of green plants by the time we left.

While we we were living in the Sonoran desert, entertainment was available when we wanted it--Barrett-Jackson car auction in January, Phoenix Golf Tournament, baseball spring training, many golf courses, lots of restaurants of all types, Scottsdale really does have a lot of events during that time of year.

Then there were times when we just borrowed books from the casita library and relaxed on the sunny patio.

The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils for typical food preparation, and has a pantry area for food storage.

The casita really does provide you with your own home while you are there, unlike renting a hotel room or condo. If you are interested in really getting to know what the Sonoran desert is like, or just need a place to get away and decompress, I highly recommend this property.

My partner and I had the pleasure of returning for a second stay at the Landau casita. Last time we stayed in the spring and this time we came at Thanksgiving. The owners have updated the decor and the casita is better than ever! Comfortable, romantic and cozy inside, serene and beautiful outside. Awesome!
The rabbits and a variety of birds greeted us each morning as we sat outside on the wrap-around patio
with steaming cups of brewed coffee. What a place to decompress from all the stress and hurry of our lives! Although it feels completely remote from the clamor of the city, there are abundant trails to walk or bike ride. -
We especially enjoyed the romantic private indoor jacuzzi. I definetly recommend this place to relax and enjoy and perhaps renew your souls.
