Ocean Dawn is a great location for a short holiday or for a long term stay. There is always something to do and everything is easy to get to from this location.
The accommodation itself is very well appointed, very clean and there is nothing that hasn’t been thought of for your comfort. The beds are great and very comfortable which is so important with any holiday stay. The service the owners provide is excellent.
We stayed at this location for 10 months and we had a great time here and settled in very quickly. If you enjoy walking on the beach, eating at good restaurants (all in Sidney are good) and being able to get to things you want to easily, this is a the location to stay at. The Anacortes ferry is waking distance, the town of Sidney with all of its conveniences is a pleasant 10 minute walk, the Victoria airport is 5 minutes away and Downtown Victoria and Inner harbour are only 20 minutes away. The Gulf Islands and the San Jaun Islands are at your doorstep so waking up looking at these islands is breath taking at times. The scenery changes so many times during the day, you can spend hours just looking out the front windows.
We highly recommend this location for anyone that wants to view wildlife, explore the islands, relax or get out and do as much as you want. We saw seals, otters, bald eagles and orcas from the house, we also went whale watching which was a fantastic trip as we were only in the boat for ten minutes before spotting orca’s and we continued to watch them for 45 minutes. We will not hesitate to stay here again and it’s great for families, couple or single people.
