Nestled in the heart of central Austin, our modern guest studio will provide the perfect location for all of your Austin activities. This luxurious retreat was just completely remodeled with style, function and comfort in mind.

Located right off Lamar, you are about a mile from Austin's best grocery stores (Whole Foods and Central Market), walking distance to the University of Texas and a short drive to any downtown location. You will be across the street from Austin's legendary Caswell Tennis Courts and across the street from Pease Park where you will find the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail leading to Town Lake as well as a Frisbee golf course. A cab to the heart of downtown is about $7 and bus stops are nearby.

A marraige of a luxury hotel room and your home...: Everything in this studio was custom built and furnished with personal attention to each detail. You will enjoy amenities such as high speed wireless Internet, a large flat-screen TV with Blue Ray DVD player and Bose surround sound speakers, designer lighting throughout with lots of niches and stained tortoise concrete floors. The appliances and fixtures are all new. We feature high quality Peacock Alley linens so you will feel pampered and comfortable. You will find our studio clean and well-appointed. We like to think of it as simple, uncluttered, modern luxury.

Impressive kitchenette...: While we don't boast a full-sized kitchen, we are up to the challenge of cooking nearly anything you might need in this streamlined kitchenette. We have a coffee pot, a toaster/toaster oven combo, a large electric pot, an electric water kettle, convection oven/microwave combo, electric hot pot with saute pan and pot, an immersion blender and of course all the basic dishes and utensils you would need to prepare and serve a meal. There is a full size fridge/freezer.

Truly convenient location...: We have guides waiting for you with all our favorite restaurant menus to help you decide whether you want to pick up a few things at Whole Foods or Central Market (both nearby) or sample some of Austin's amazing locally-owned restaurants. Our guides will also help you find a place nearby to rent movies, sip late night coffee, go for a morning jog, get some delicious ice cream, play tennis, swim, meet friends for live music, go for a drive in the hill country, enjoy the lake, see some historic Austin sites, and much more. There is a bus stop about 1 minute walking distance from the house. A walk to UT and the drag takes about 10 minutes. Head straight down Lamar for a couple of miles and you will hit 6th Street. A cab is a great way to get to and from downtown for about $7.

Located at Lamar and 24th, we are between UT campus (east), Old Enfield (west), Central Market (north) and the Whole Foods flagship store on 6th and Lamar. Enjoy a short drive to downtown or walk/jog at one of the park trails located across the street. Downtown, the warehouse district, town lake and other central attractions are a 20 minute walk, a short drive or an inexpensive taxi ride away. From our house, you can easily kayak on Town Lake, ride a road bike or a mountain bike on numerous trails, tour hill country wineries, rent a boat on Lake Travis or play tennis across the street. Of course amazing Austin restaurants and bars can be found in all directions. Our proximity to Mopac (Loop 1) and IH-35 make it easy to get across--or out of--town.

Meredith's place is beautiful and very well located. Extremely clean, comfortable, beautiful, equipped with everything one might need. Perfect for our family of 4. Fantastic location to explore Austin, and would be ideal for UT related stays. Quiet.
Meredith was quick in responding at all times, flexible with our uncertain arrival date and time, had great suggestions about things to do and places to eat.....fantastic place and amazing customer service. Would totally recommend to friends and will definitely stay there again when we are in town again. WE LOVED IT HERE!!!

Just beautiful....

I stayed here in November while attending a conference in Austin. This apartment is just lovely, even luxurious - so much care and attention has gone into the design and amenities. I'm SO glad I stayed here instead of at the conference hotel! I had everything I needed, and was very comfortable. The entertainment system is outstanding, and the interior is simply beautiful. There is a small office nook, which I used quite a bit. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Excellent summer stay

I stayed at the Big House Pink Studio this past summer (2011) to study, and i was thoroughly impressed with it. From the outside, the house looks a little dated, but still very charming, but once inside I was amazed. Newly renovated and ultra-modern, from the entertainment system to the lighting, I was constantly finding new things to be impressed with. No stove, but I don't cook so that wasnt a big deal, and it still had a toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. All in all, i would recommend this for anybody looking to sleep like a baby and be in a killer location in one of the best cities in America. Also, the owners, Meredity and HO, were very attentive and Meredith responded to e-mails within a couple of hours, usually shorter. Thanks for a great summer!

Perfect place to stay for UT parents

This studio is a great place to stay if you are visiting your UT student that lives in West Campus. Meredith is very easy to deal with and the location is within walking distance of Greek houses & campus. The full-size refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, washer/dryer and awesome big TV make this place a winner over staying at a hotel! Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for Austin City Limits. Loved the area, very safe and very close to a great park. The facility was lovely, everything was so clean and decorated in a very pleasing manner. Meredith was great and very helpful. We walked to downtown (only a 20-30 minute walk) or took a cab. Very convenient.
