The Garden Suite has the amazing forever view of Windcrest Villa. This well designed space includes a queen-size mahogany captain's bed built into an incredible rock wall. The chef designed kitchen leads out to the covered deck for alfresco dining. The Garden Suite has a small office with broadband wireless access for those that need to keep in touch while in paradise, laptop **Not** included. Air conditioning and soft, comfortable furniture for relaxing in the living/entertainment area complete this vacation haven.
Windcrest Villa also has the Loft Suite (Home Away# 110480). The suites are situated above and below creating complete privacy with separate parking and entrances. For two (2) couples vacationing together Windcrest provides a short garden walk between the rental suites.
I have been loving living in the Virgin Islands for the past 27 years. For 18 wonderful years I lived on St. John where I was the owner of Open Palms Massage & Yoga. In 2004 I made the jump to St. Croix and many St. Johnians have done the same . I now keep massage and yoga part time and focus on selling real estate and managing my real estate investments. Along with renovating my beautiful old house I enjoy all aspects of the beautiful Caribbean. I take every chance I get to visit St. John
Deborah purchased this apartment in 2001
I chose to buy Windcrest Villa on St. John because I fell in love with St. John the moment I set foot on this island in 1985. Having a vacation rental on St. John is a great way to share this magical island with many people.
The view is spectacular, the location is convenient and the suites are comfortable so you feel right at home, only in paradise! The breezes are steady so you can enjoy the feel of the tropical air or air conditioning is available. The deck is great for sunbathing, stargazing in the spa or grilling your favorites. The shared pool shares Windcrest's amazing view and is only a short walk away.
The garden studio exceeded all our expectations and was the perfect base for exploring St John! While simple, the studio was somehow much more roomy and comfortable than the impression given by the photos and description - in my opinion Vicky is selling this place short! Perched on a green and breezy hillside overlooking Cruz Bay you have nice views across the tree tops to the sea. It is on the lower floor of the building but is set high enough above the quiet residential access road to offer privacy and catch the cooling Caribbean trade winds. Convenient parking is located just off the road right below the studio and although you can probably walk in and out of Cruz Bay (if you like to hike) the studio is probably a little high on the hill for most people so I would recommend renting a car - it comes in handy for exploring the island at your own pace. The studio has pretty much everything you need - an incredibly well-equipped kitchen and a sweet gas grill on the deck if you want to self-cater, cable tv, radio, wifi internet, plenty of towels (including beach towels), even a little cooler and beach chairs! Lots of screened louvered windows made the studio bright and breezy but kept any bugs out. We ran the ceiling fans (there are three big ones in each 'area' of the studio) and this kept us plenty cool even though it was mid-July and probably as hot and humid out as St John gets all year. But there is an AC unit if you need it! Bathroom was spacious - all water comes from the rain stored in the cistern so you are politely asked to conserve this precious resource and to help you with this the shower has one of those 'low-flow' heads attached which is very common in the Caribbean. This was not a problem for us but if you're the type that likes to take 30 minute high-pressure blasting showers you might be better off at the Westin! Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh when we checked in and it was surprisingly easy to keep the place that way - even with all our junk. There's a big closet with plenty of hangers and lots of shelf and counter space around as well as drawers and cupboards around the frame of the big comfy custom built bed! And to top everything off, Vicky made the whole booking process very efficient and easy and then co-ordinated our smooth arrival and check-in with Deborah and Judy. Everybody was extremely fun, friendly and helpful and offered us plenty of great tips and advice for our stay. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
My husband and I traveled to St. John for the 1st time in August 2013. After a long research and reading reviews for several weeks we chose Windcrest Villa and stayed happy with our decision throughout our trip. We stayed in the Garden Suite (lower level of the villa) with the same magnificent view of the bay. The unit looked exactly like the pictures showed on villa's website windcrestvilla.com.
It was very well equipped, full kitchen, big gas grill on the balcony, plenty of linens and towels (including beach towels), beach chairs and coolers. We cooked most of our meals at home and enjoyed the most beautiful view from the balcony when eating outside.
The unit had A/C, but we did not use it, because of the nice cool breezes, we just had our windows open all day and night.
The owner was very responsive during our stay there if we had a question.
You will need a car on the island. This way you'll be free to go to any beach of your choice.
Our favorite were Hawknest, Cinnamon, Maho and Trunk. Best snorkeling was on these beaches too.
We loved staying at Windcrest and would recommend it to anyone! Best value and view on the island.
