Barren River Lake Rental - Beautiful secluded wooded 4 acre lot with new custom waterfront home. Natural gentle footpath to dock. Big water in private location on 10,000 acre lake. High Def 52'' LCD TV. Over 3,000 sf of decking. Private hiking trails, boat dock, bonfire pits. Striking home.

Area Attractions: Mammoth Cave National Park is less than 30 minutes door - door. Many restaurants and retailers are available within 10 minutes drive in Glasgow, KY. Barren River State Resort park and marina is an easy 7 mile drive. Bowling Green is 40 minutes away and is home to hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops, National Corvette Museum, and Olde Stone golf course. Horseback riding and golf at the Barren River State Park are a big hit. Finally, one of our favorites between Memorial Day and Labor is lake church, a waterfront gathering of Christians enjoying fellowship and God's creation.

Recreation: This home was built for making a lifetime of memories for our family and yours. Our 4 acre property offers plenty of room to explore, relax, and get away from everything. A stream feeds a cove that borders our property which then feeds into the main channel of the lake. A canoe is available for your use and we have a great option available for renting jet skis.

If you'd like to bring your own vessel the Beaver Creek Boat Ramp only 2 miles away for launch. We have a ladder on our dock to make swimming a breeze. Target shooting is a family favorite and there is ample open space for football, baseball, and outdoor games of all kinds. Covered porches afford you the opportunity to be outside regardless of the weather with gorgeous views. HD Network TV is the perfect centerpiece for sports gatherings including NFL playoffs, NCAA Final Four, Master's Weekend, etc.

Other: This is a TVA US Army Corp of Engineer managed lake. The levels vary significantly throughout the year. The lake is brought up to 'summer pool' each year in mid April. The levels start to drop in late October. You can see actual levels and 'target' levels online. Please inquire for the URL.

My law firm chose this property for our retreat this fall. The open layout and private location provide an ideal setting for both work and recreation. The home is amazing and has all the extras one would expect at a first class resort. Wifi kept everyone connected and the large kitchen allowed for easy dining and conversation. The huge deck space allowed our meetings to enjoy the fresh air. We will be back.

Family Gathering

Best long week end, with extended family, in years. Home is absoluely beautiful with every amenity one would ever need. You can tell the owners are well traveled, as they have prepared this home for it's visitors.
The wrap around multiple decks gave us great pleasure with it's views and the fellowship with family it provided. The lake was great. We fished and everybody got into the water sports, including the great grandmother!
We gave it an excellent rating, because, it deserved it.
Hope to do again some day.

Are you looking for a traquil setting surrounded by nature? Perhaps you need a place to get away from it all. This lake house is the ultimate getaway from all the stresses of life. This is the place for you and your family or just a group of friends! I have been lucky enough to experience this gorgeous lake house twice. Once for a large family gathering and another time for a girls' getaway relaxation weekend. I must say that it was ideal for both! This well decorated, cozy home offers space for everyone from adults to children. The bedrooms are huge and are equipped with double bunkbeds as well as additional double beds in the same room! The master suite is beautiful and soothing with its pale blue and brown accents. The best part of the house is the outdoor patios. Dozens can gather on the side porch on the various couches and cozy chairs, or you can just have an intimate gathering. Porches downstairs and upstairs allow everyone their own private area to visit and read. A grill is provided for cooking outdoors and you can always take a walk down to the lake for some boating or swimming. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more. Top of the line appliances coupled with a large island for serving make the kitchen, great room combination ideal for sharing a meal with friends. I HIGHLY recommend this lake house for any size family gathering. I cannot wait to return and look forward to the serenity it offers!

Our family had a fabulous time at your beautiful lake house. Everything was just perfect for getting away from a hectic everyday life. The boys loved being able to run through the "forest" on the trails and the fishing. The canoe rides were especially enjoyable for them. Our daughter even learned to play chess! We loved the quiet and calm. Every part of the house was very cozy and comfortable, not to mention exceptionally clean. The location is perfect for privacy but still so convenient to dining and shopping. We have all been raving about what a great place you have to friends and family since we got home. We can't wait to come back!!

This home was everything we expected and more! The upscale amenities were wonderful – it is a luxurious lake house with all of the extras. The house had plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy and for the kids to play indoors when needed. Our family enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock, hanging out on the porches together, and a great bonfire. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. We definitely recommend this home to other renters and would love the chance to go back again!
