We are located in the foothills of El Yunque Caribbean National Forest just outside of the park boundaries. Our town of Rio Grande is conveniently located midway between San Juan and Fajardo on the North Eastern part of the island making this a convenient base camp to explore the beaches, rainforest, and other attractions of this area.

Notes: La Casita is a self catering unit and while we don't charge a cleaning fee or damage deposit we just ask our guests to maintain and leave the home tidy during their stay and at check out and to respect the home and property as if it were their own. As the owners we live two properties over so we'll check in daily to answer questions or meet any needs and we'll be available throughout your stay. Smoking is only allowed in outdoor areas The pool is shared with our other rental home which is also located within this two acre estate.

We're here for you: We'll never just hand you a set of keys. As the owners and managers we maintain the highest standards for our accommodations, service, and for our guest's satisfaction. Since we live just two properties over we will stop by daily in order to touch base and be sure that you are having the best vacation experience while always being available to answer questions or offer assistance. As residents of Puerto Rico we are more then happy to share our knowledge and advice about the island. We'll assist with every aspect of your vacation from the planning process to reservations to activities and sight seeing. We'll never be intrusive but will be here to offer as much or as little interaction as you wish; the choice is completely up to you.

The personal touch: Before reserving we are more than happy to answer all of your questions and assist you in making the decision if La Casita will meet your vacation needs. We will assist you from the reservation process through offering suggestions for things to see and do based on your interests and time frame in our area. To get you started on your first morning we will deliver to you a loaf of warm freshly baked gourmet bread along with a generous bowl of tropical fruits many of which are grown on our property (as available in season). We have developed an extensive personal guide book to help you discover the many treasures of Puerto Rico's northern coast along with recommendations for the best tour operators, restaurants, and shops.

Wally and Marina have done an amazing job of providing the perfect retreat. They have thought of everything people will need in order to enjoy their vacation. All of the small touches really make a difference and it shows how much they care about making people happy. I cannot thank them enough for our wonderful time.

I stayed at La Casita with two of my best friends and this was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. I will always look back on it with fond memories. Our week started out with a loaf of freshly baked bread and a bowl of fruit from Marina and Wally. Our views of the mountains and ocean were breathtaking and our evenings were filled with the melodic sounds of coqui frogs. The salt water pool was by far my favorite. We grilled several times and ate dinner on the patio and just enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

We had easy access to all of the activities we wanted to do - El Yunque, bio bay, beach, Old San Juan. We also took a day trip to the south side of the island.

When we drove past all the hotels on the way to Old San Juan, we agreed we were so glad we weren't staying in those and had instead opted to stay at La Casita. Wally and Marina are so warm and friendly - they made our visit feel like we were staying with family. We would have never gotten the personal attention and small touches at a hotel.

I do not think I can do our experience justice with words and nothing I write will ever express how enchanting our time in Puerto Rico was. You will just have to visit to see for yourself. Make sure to book far in advance as Wally and Marina have become very popular (for good reason). We booked our reservations three and a half months in advance. I knew from the moment we booked it and started receiving emails from Marina and Wally that we had chosen the right place for our vacation.
