Far Better Than Described!

This unit turned out to be very large. We stayed for a week in June 2010. The Homeaway description and photos do not adequately describe the rental property. Laurie (the owner) was very friendly and answered all e-mails promptly and respectfully. I was so pleased at what our family received for the price that we payed. I cannot imagine that their has been no reviews of this unit. I stayed here with my husband and three sons, ages 9, 13, and 14. Everything is within walking distance from the rental. The lower level has a huge livingroom and kitchen which are connected by a dining area that was perfect for 7 of us (my mother and father-in-law stayed the next street over) for games and meals. We cooked every single meal and never ran into a situation where we did not have what we needed. I was able to make homemade clam chowder, lobster, steamers and corn on the cob and didn't want for anything. Also on this level was a bedroom with a full sized bed, a laundry room, and a tiny library which had many books, games, and DVD's and video's. The yard was perfect for my 9 year old, who spent hours swinging on the very sturdy wooden swingset. I could see him perfectly from the kitchen window. We seemed to have one of the larger driveways and yards in the area. We were able to park 2 cars comfortably in the private driveway. The yard is completely fenced in with a sandbox, toys, grill and very large porch which can be accessed from 2 different areas of the unit. There is a large bedroom upstairs with a queen bed, and a whimsical children's room with two twin beds. Also on the second floor is a full sized bathroom with a tub/shower combination, The water pressure was fantastic and we never ran out of hot water even though all five of us showered every morning. My husband and I stayed very comfortably on the lower level bedroom in order to have privacy from the children at night. I could not have asked for more and hope and pray that Laurie allows us to rent this same week year after year. We are so pleased!
