Spotless 3 BR 2 Bath elevated home! Redecorated in February 2012. Sun room has a full futon. Home is tastefully furnished, light and bright w/hardwood, tile and carpeted flooring. Overlooks a lagoon within a private community. Has a neighborhood path to beach and short walk to pool and tennis. Front deck for sunning or rear deck for shade. Convenient to shopping and entertainment yet only 20 minutes to historic Charleston. Winter monthly rates upon request. Pets require a non-refundable pet fee that is determined by the breed and weight of the dog. No cats please. Linens provided. This is a Non Smoking home but you can smoke on the porch.

About Owner/Property Manager

Hi, I am the owner and an animal lover as well which is why I have made my home 'pet friendly'. When on vacation, I liked to take my pet with me and was willing to pay a pet fee to insure the owner no damage would be done by my pet. I live near the house and will always be available by phone to handle questions, problems or in any way at all that I can help you have a happier vacation.

I bought this island home originally to be my retirement home as it seemed to have everything I needed in a residence: large master, big kitchen, 2 porches, one sunny and one in the shade. It had the fireplace, wood floors and tile floors that I desired and an extra room for an office or sunroom. It was bright and sunny with custom plantation shutters throughout. Two bedrooms for guest or hobby use. However, I have become too entrenched with my lakeside home to now make the move for more than a vacation home. I think you will be very happy with the home. The location is perfect as it is within 2 minutes off the IOP connector bridge to take you into Mt Pleasant or historic Charleston. Shopping is within 3 minutes and you do not have to be in heavy summer traffic at the end of the island.

This property is as close as you can get to the Isle Of Palms Connector, enabling you to get to Charleston or to Mt. Pleasant in the least amount of time yet is in a private, secluded small neighborhood within walking distance for the kids to go to the shops at the beach. It also has great curb appeal and one of the few homes in this neighborhood to have the extra sunroom with a futon which can sleep two more. The rear deck overlooks a small pond. It is also one of the few homes to have a metal roof and a fireplace which are very appealing to me.

Half of the rental rate is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance, any fees and a refundable $500 security deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival. We accept cashiers checks and personal checks if a branch is located in Charleston, SC. Credit cards are accepted with a 2.9% fee.
Fees And Taxes Rates do not include 12.5% tax. Cleaning fee is included in 7 nights stay. Linen rental is $200. The non-refundable pet fee is determined by the breed and weight of your dog.

My family had a great time at this beach house. If you want clean, comfortable and family friendly then this is the place for you. Short walk to beach, pool & tennis courts. Loved the location. The front deck is so nice to sit and relax.

Our family had an amazing vacation. The house was clean, comfortable and so easy to enjoy. Short walk to the beach, pool and tennis courts. It took less then 10 minutes to drive anywhere. We loved it! We are booking again for next year!

We did have a nice time during our week in Isle of Palms, but unfortunately, this rental could use some TLC and it put a bit of a damper on our experience. I know it was posted in the listing that the ice machine does not work - well, it is high time to replace the entire fridge! So, in addition to the broken ice maker, there were cracks and rust stains on the doors, the air vent at the base is broken, and one of the drawers in the fridge is completely broken off the rail, just hangs there and isn't functional. The big lounge chair on front porch is cracked. There was a pull in one of the rugs. There was a hole in the back of one of the bedroom doors. The railing on the front steps is rotted and peeling. I had sent an email to the owner about these issues when we first arrived, mainly as I didn't want to be blamed for any of it, and there was no acknowledgement. Later in the week, we thought there was a problem with the air conditioning unit, so I emailed again and that time we did receive an acknowledgement but after I had emailed another time stating that the air seemed to be working again. The landscaping around the house is terrible, so much is overgrown. Mosquitos were terrible too. It was just a bunch of little things that we found irritating, especially for what we paid for the rental. All that being said, the proximity of this rental to the beach was great and having access to a community pool and being pet-friendly was a plus for our family. Sorry to leave such a negative review... but if the owner could put a little bit of time, money and love into this house, it could be an excellent rental.

Owner's Response: We take pride in all of our beach houses and we do everything possible to make sure your vacation is relaxing and comfortable. We ask all our tenants to look over the house upon arrival and notify us of any issues. This tenant did the right thing. She notified us of several issues and we made note of the items that needed to be repaired or replaced. The refrigerator replacement drawers were on backorder and all the other issues were new to us. Maintenance fixed and/or replaced these items the day these tenants vacated. We try not to intrude during your vacation unless it is an emergency or if there is something you want fixed immediatley. The yard is scheduled to have weekly maintenance. When this tenant notifed us we hired a new landscaper that keeps the yard up to our standards. Charleston County sprays regularly for insects but we have no control over the mosquitos. We make continuous improvements so that this cottage is a wonderful, relaxing and serene vacation house for any family.

Great week at the beach!

This house was perfect for our family's stay in South Carolina this year. It has terrific proximity to the beach, and was well kept and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and manicured; the pool and tennis courts were wonderful. The owner clearly takes great pride in keeping the house up, and everything we needed was there. The layout was optimal for two couples and two kids. Excellent stay!
