I have been a Real Estate Broker for 35 years. My hometown is in Northern Utah where you'll find some of the best snow on earth!
Robyn K. Scott purchased this house in 2007
Rocky Point Mexico is the perfect place to retreat to regroup, and to entertain your family, friends and clients. The town has some fabulous restaurants and is a shrimp port so you can enjoy fresh fish everyday. The people here are friendly and the community welcomes new comers. Best of all you have the ocean, the beaches and the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see.
You can kayak with the dolphins in your own back yard. Water sports abound here. Snorkel, swim or scuba in the beautiful clear warm water. 4-wheel in the desert. Dig clams in the estuary. Relax in the evening with a gorgeous sunset and a good book or perfect margaritas with friends.
We really wanted to do something fun for Labor Day weekend. Since the kids had no school and we didn't have to work we decided to leave town. We got an opportunity to stay at this beautiful beach front house in Rocky Point so we jumped on it! We first had to get the kids birth certificates within a couple of days of going so it was a little crazy. We got all the docs in time and were able to go. All the people down here were super nice and helpful (even when I couldn't speak any spanish and they couldn't speak any english) Thank you so much for letting us stay, we had the BEST time. We didn't ever wanna leave!
We had a three-day get-away from Phoenix and we were flabbergasted at how beautiful this home is...right on the beach (high tide/afternoon/evenings being much closer to home than photos show). The house is big and luxurious and has everything you could ever dream of to make it a perfect spot to relax. We will be back!
There truly aren't words adequate enough to describe the majesty of Serenity Sands- both the home itself and the beach upon which it is located!! We just returned from our 6 night stay two days ago, and we are already planning our return visit. I would leave tomorrow if I could get the time off work and Robyn's house was available:).
We had never been to Mexico before and were a little anxious about making the sojourn. Let me put any of your potential concerns to rest. Serenity Sands is located within the gated community of Las Conchas. Anytime we entered or left the property, we would check in with the guard station. They were very welcoming and made us feel incredibly safe. In fact, we made several trips to Sam's Club during our stay for food, and we felt so comfortable with the security at Serenity Sands that we left our teenagers at the house while we went shopping. We never feared for their safety or even ours as we ventured out into Puerto Penasco. The guards rode 4-wheelers up and down the beach multiple times a day patrolling. They knew which houses had guests and which did not. They made sure that we felt safe and were safe.
As for Serenity Sands, it is the MOST BEAUTIFUL, well-maintained home in Las Canchas. No question. The 2500 sq ft deck is perfect for laying out, watching the ocean, eating meals, watching the stars at night, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with gorgeous, hand-carved cabinets and marble counter tops. The counter with bar stools and kitchen table provide more than ample room to eat and relax... That is, if you can drag yourself away from the beach and deck.
The Sea of Cortez is a unique phenomenon. Because of the fluctuation in tides, you are able to see a wide variety of sea life. The snorkelling is exceptional yet you are able to wade out quite aways while still being able to touch, which makes it safe for kids and the less confident swimmer. The sunsets are unlike anything I've ever seen before. I felt like I was in heaven.
Robyn is so caring and great to deal with. She truly makes her guests feel like family and is there if you have any questions or need a good recommendation for activities, places to eat, and/or places to visit. There is a BBQ grill for cooking outdoors and a fire pit for late night star gazing and relaxing with friends. The king bedroom, queen bedroom, and living room have sliding doors that open to allow the sounds and smells of the ocean to surround you.
Robyn, thank you so much!!!
I can't believe it's taken me so long to get back to you about what a FABULOUS place you have. The house is beautiful, comfortable and included everything we could ask for. We used the kayaks (no wet suits) and the the water was chilly but very doable. We sat around the fire pit one evening and watched the luminescence in the water. I've never see it before. Every time a wave rolled in the water lit up blue and green. It was a real treat. We walked down and where we stood at the edge of the water a webbing of light spread out from our feet.
We didn't see any whales but the Dolphins came by every morning heading toward Rocky Point and made the return trip early evening. We did venture into town and made some newbie mistakes but all laughable. Everyone was helpful and kind.
We loved the fresh oysters and beer at the estuary down the road. I love that it's a co-op of 6 women that do the harvesting and run the place.
Our best meal was shrimp we bought fresh in town and grilled at your place. We enjoy cooking together but did hire a local woman who prepared our dinners and set up for us while we played on the beautiful beaches.
Oh... And the new bed in the master is very comfortable.
We will definitely be back!! You made it all so easy.
This was our second trip to Puerto Penasco, and this house made our stay unbelievably wonderful. The house was our home for the extended weekend. We found everything we needed to make our stay truly relaxing and restful.........just the way a vacation at the beach should be. The house was spacious, accommodating, and beautifully decorated and maintained. It was paradise. We can't wait to return!
I have stayed at this beach house 2 times. The view is amazing!! What we did was shuttle in on the first visit from Phoenix, AZ because we were unsure how the drive would be. It was actually an easy drive so the second time we rented cars and drove in. We didn’t have any problems. The house is in a gated community and the guards spoke English and were very welcoming.
One visit was last year in March-April, we went with another couple, we did a sunset cruise were we saw dolphins and blue whales. Oh my gosh the whales and dolphins are amazing and I recommend going on a cruise at least once. We went fishing, road 4-wheelers, para-sailed. There is fun shopping down in Malicon village. It was a more romantic vacation.
The last vacation was end of April into May, we went with family and kids included. The weather was perfectly warm, the water was nice to cool off in. We spent alot of time at the beach house just enjoying the house and private beach. You don't even have to leave the house to do shopping or have a great experience. There is alot to do at the beach. There are people who come and give massages on the balcony, shopping, and yummy mango's that are cut into flowers. You can rent ski-dos, ride on kayaks and you can ride the water-weeny ?. This was the perfect family vacation spot!
We saw dolphins swimming by at least once a day from the house. The beach house was comfortable and clean. We had 10 people last time and we all had our own space to be on our own. We had kids from the ages of 2 years old and up and we always felt safe at the beach house and in town. When we went into town both visits the food was great!
My husband and I spent alot of time walking the beach and looking at all the beach houses, this beach house is front line and is the best looking!! It had the most amazing views. I love rocky point and we are planning to make this house our person beach house rental, I'll be back soon!!
My family has been priveledged to "live (1 week)" in the beautiful Serenity Sands for the past several years. It is like our home away from home! Robyn ans Rafael are like family to us all!
