Why stay in a costly hotel when you can enjoy the comfort of this inexpensive one bedroom/one bath condo in sunny Kihei? This remodeled condo in the Kauhale Makai (Village By The Sea)Complex sleeps 3-4 and has a fully stocked kitchen. Upgrades include ceramic tile flooring, custom color paint and custom tile/glass block shower. The Unit (#108) has one free assigned parking spot just steps outside the lanai. You don't have to carry all of your heavy luggage and beach equipment up the stairs!! All linens are provided as well as beach towels. For those hot days and nights, you have CENTRAL air-conditioning to cool you down! Flat screen TV (39') and FREE WIFI IS ALSO AVAILABLE. The bedroom has a comfortable mattress and the queen size sofa bed has an updgraded 6 inch mattress.

The Kauhale Makai complex offers a fully staffed front desk, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gas BBQ grills, shuffle board, volley ball and horseshoe pit.

Kihei is centrally located to everything Maui has to offer including some of the best beaches in the world. Kihei also has plenty of fine restaurants, grocery stores, shopping complexes and other sightseeing spots, plus all the water sports you can imagine!

Perfect family vacation

My husband, myself and our 17 month old son stayed in this condo for 10 glorious days. It was very well maintained and clean. The size was perfect for us, and having the full kitchen to use along with the laundry facilities made it feel just like home. We made breakfast every morning and most lunches. It was a great location, close to lots of beaches and shopping areas. We would definitely recommend this property to couples or families with 2 or less children. The owner was very easy to deal with as well, even granting us a late check out when requested! Overall, a wonderful place to stay when you are vacationing in Maui.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Nothing fancy. Clean and plenty of space for those on the go. At such a low rate it allowed us to do lots of fun things around Maui. We really did not spend much time at the condo - just to sleep and have breakfast - then we were out doing things. Owner communicated well and was well organized.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Exactly as promised...a great place to stay.

My wife and I along with our 10 month old stayed in this condo for a week and were pleasantly surprised. Since it was very well priced, we kept our expectations low and went with an open mind. When we arrived we we were very happy to see that the condo was as promised and that it exceeded our expectations in every way. Some of the highlights are: reserved parking space directly outside the patio, ground floor unit!!, smooth check-in, helpful front desk staff, clean grounds and pool area, BBQ's cleaned daily, laundry across the hallway, beachfront (short walk across the grounds), fully equipped unit with lots of towels, cooler, kitchen utensils, etc.. The complex was quiet and was in a great central location with a short drive to beaches, grocery, shopping and restaurants. We had a great time and would love to stay here next time we are in Maui.

This condo worked out great for us! It's simply furnished, but has all the basics and was clean. The location was very convenient for us, a quick ten minute drive to grocery, drugstores and restaurants. The nearest swimming beach (Kamaole I) is also about ten minutes away, and more awesome beaches just further south. It was also easy to get to the highways that lead to the rest of the island. Being on the ground floor made it an easy trip to the grills, hot tub and car! Although the beach right outside isn't a great swimming beach, it is a fabulous spot to watch the sunset, take a walk or just dig your feet in the sand. Everyone we met that lives or was staying at the Village by the Sea, were all very friendly too. Overall, we were very satisfied with the accommodations and our experience.

An Aussie couple.

We booked over the net. Owner was polite, straightforward and professional. The unit is on the groundfloor so was a bit dark but that is really the worst thing I could say. It has a separate bedroom, large fridge, and cable TV. The wireless worked great. We stayed 7 days and weren't home that much so it was a nice, clean reasonably priced unit.

The position in Keihei (Key- Hay) is perfect. We had a hire car the whole time and drove anywhere easily from the unit.
The unit block is a bit older, but clean and well kept. The pool area is nice, BBQs were always clean and new units. The hot tub was cool. (FYI Aussies.. the hot tub is the social centre at night if you are home.. by about 7 it is full of nice people with drinks happily chatting) the security guard comes at 10 and it gets shut down..

I would happily recommend it as a nice home base. Compared to the prices for the resorts.. this place is a gem! We spent our money exploring, drinking, snorkling and eating out.. we didn't give it to a mega-chain..;-)
