Nestled up in the picturesque North Carolina Mountains, this gorgeous home is situated on five acres of heavily wooded land near the top of Chestnut Mountain. With an elevation of 3800' this spacious home has a fantastic western view and is loaded with windows to enhance the mountain scenery. With three sets of French doors, you easily become surrounded by nature as you breathe in the mountain air and listen to the sounds of the nearby stream on your own full length covered porch. Get out and hike nearby trails, Take a 20 min drive to Highlands to shop or head to the Great Smokey Mountain National park only 1 1/4 hrs away. Then come inside to enjoy the fireplace, cable TV, sit down to view a movie on the big screen TV from our selection of DVD and VHS movies, or choose a book from our library of novels. Dine in the many restaurants within a 30 minute drive or cook for yourself in our spacious and wonderfully appointed kitchen.

On the lower level is another large Bedroom with a King bed and a spacious game room that includes a Queen sleeper sofa sharing another full bath.

You have a perfect mountain home and we enjoyed everything about it during our visit. The spectacular fireplace and windows, tasteful and comfortable décor and lovely setting created a delightful place for our vacation. I hope to return to do those Kinkade jigsaw puzzles!

We enjoyed your home very much! Very, very comfortable. I loved the deck and swing. We spent hours out there just talking to our kids and playing with our grandchildren.
