Built in 1780, this converted antique barn oozes with country charm while offering all the modern amenities of the 21st Century. Recently remodeled, the 'great room' is centered on a fireplace and features a gourmet kitchen complete with dishwasher drawers, a Sub Zero and a Viking duel-fuel range. The barn sits in the middle of nearly two manicured acres with a wrap-around deck for family BBQ's and entertaining. The lower level consists of an open sitting room with a daybed & trundle for children & guests, a dressing area with a full-size washer/dryer, and an oversized bathroom with a separate shower and soaking tub. A cozy, private master bedroom has an old brick floor and outdoor access. There are flat-screen LCD TVs in each room. The barn is designer furnished & accessorized and includes everything needed for first class entertaining. There are hotel linens and Dormia mattresses for a wonderful night's sleep in the Connecticut Country.
Just 50 miles outside of New York City, the barn is walking distance to Ridgefield's village, which was voted three years in a row 'Fairfield Country's #1 town.' Celebrating it's 300th anniversary, Ridgefield was settled in 1708 and boasts such historic attractions as The Keeler Tavern Museum and The Aldirch Museum of Contemporary Art on Main Street. The Ridgefield Playhouse attracts A-list talent and productions from around the globe and there is world class dinning, shopping, hiking, biking and so much more!
If you've come to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, you will find yourself transformed to a place of total relaxation and peacefulness.

We fell in love with the energy of this wonderful antique barn!
We love walking to the Village of Ridgefield and hiking in the nearby trails!
I was pleasantly surprised to have all my expectations met or exceeded with my stay at George's converted barn. It is truly a "5 Star" property and I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone planning on visiting the Ridgefield area. You literally need to do nothing more than show up and buy some groceries. We found this charming property to be the perfect place to lock ourselves away from the rest of the world for a little while and I have priceless memories of my stay here...thank you George!
This cozy, converted barn is a serene and secluded retreat just outside Ridgefield's charming town center. We watched as deer leapt and snow sifted outside the huge picture window, cooked a couple of pre-Thanksgiving feasts in the beautifully equipped kitchen, and slept soundly in the very comfortable bedroom. Immaculate and thoughtfully appointed throughout.
Had an amazing weekend in this beautiful farmhouse in the country. Looks exactly like photos. Neat as a pin. We enjoyed having dinner in the night we arrived. Kitchen is very well stocked. Fireplace is beautiful. We enjoyed hanging out by the cozy fire. And spent a fair amount of time rocking in the comfy rockers on front porch. House is on a beautiful property just over a mile to town. Hiking is nearby. Really hope to return. Would be lovely at any time of year!
Very nice and quiet location, yet close to town and services. Equipped with state of the art appliances, this house is going to improve any vacation plans. Keep an eye on deer at lawn.
We stayed for the week leading up to Thanksgiving to get a little R&R before the holiday season madness, and that is exactly what we got! The house is very well appointed and was perfect for my husband and I and our small dog who really enjoyed country living. The weather was perfect for cozying up to the fireplace and cooking at home in the gorgeous kitchen. It was easy to get in and out of town to stock up on all supplies we needed and we also enjoyed several great day hikes in the surrounding area. There is also a very nice dog park located in town for our little one to stretch her legs.
George was extremely courteous and expedited the process for our last minute booking. We will definitely be back!
A jewel box home nestled in the Ct hills, for cozy peace and privacy. Beautifully appointed main room, fully equipped modern kitchen. Downstairs, a comfortable bedroom with sleigh bed, dressing area, and charming bathroom with separate shower and claw foot tub. Downside: a plethora of light switches and we needed help getting online. The owner, George was very attentive. Thank you, George! November weather prevented us from using the wrap porch and gas grill. Maybe next time!
