Tired of the plain jane hotel rooms, with noisy hallways, blah looking sheets and never enough pillows? Come on in to the Woodford Guest House. Drive in to Mckenzie Towne - a front porch European looking community. Park in your own parking pad & follow the red brick path to your own entrance. No walls or hallways to share with anyone else. Up the stairs you will find a fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment. Lots of bright colored towels, red curtains, fun bedding, LOTS of pillows, a colorful queen sized sofa bed, 7 windows to soak in the sun, laundry machine and soap so you can go home with clean clothes, and coffee, tea and hot chocolate to get you started. And don't forget the warm plate of fresh baking to greet you. Enjoy a leisurely 15 minute walk to our popular High Street, with shopping, coffee shops & pubs. Hop in your car, and in 20-30 minutes you will find shopping, Calgary Tower, Stampede grounds, Elbow Falls, the Zoo & more. Or venture out to the mountains for the day.

We stayed here for a weekend while in Calgary and it was the perfect place!! Mona was very welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We will be coming back! Thought the little extras, of goodies was a nice treat.

Comfortable stay at the Woodford Guest House

Clean and cozy carriage house that fitted our needs. Mona was an excellent hostess and was there to answer all our questions. The baked treats were a delicious bonus! The bed was very comfortable and there are lots of extra blankets and pillows. There is a variety of stores very close by to shop for groceries and many restaurants to suit every taste. We would definitely recommend this lovely place for a very comfortable stay.

First off, a very warm heartfelt thank you to Mona for providing me with a fantastic living arrangement experience for each of my three weekly stays in the past three months. Mona you are the epitome of a perfect hostess. There isn't enough high praise I could give for your thoughtful consideration of your guests. Your professional and friendly personality simply adds to the experience of staying at your Guesthouse. The private setting of your Guesthouse truly is a "home away from home" with every comfort from home available. A word must also be said about the affordability factor; easily worth every dollar and top value in comparison to other properties listed as short term rentals in Calgary. As a local resident of Calgary I can honestly say you're located in a prime location with many amenities literally within walking distance with easy convenient access to Calgary's main thoroughfare Deerfoot Trail and the soon to be completed SE Stony Trail Ring road which will provide quick access to anywhere in Calgary and the surrounding areas.

I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone (single or family) Mona's Guesthouse whether it be for a few short days to several weeks. No one will be disappointed they chose Mona's Guesthouse. There's a very good reason why her Calendar is regularly booked in advance.

I will end by saying once again a very sincere thank you to Mona for her hospitality and without doubt will be my first choice in selecting a place to call my "home away from home" whenever I'm back in Calgary in the future. Clean, cosy, homely

Well worth the rental fee. Mona provided a very warm welcome and bent over backwards to make sure our kids were happy and all bases covered. Can't fault the cleanliness and convenience. Very highly recommended, especially if you want or need something a little more homely than your average hotel.

Great owner makes a great place really special!

My small family stayed at Mona's loft for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The little extras made all the difference and were very appreciated. We have a baby and Mona went out of her way to make sure all of the items we might need were at hand and that made our pack really easy. It was also totally immaculate which is always a concern of mine especially with the little one. Thank you very much, we will definitely stay here again should we need a place in the city again!
