A well-appointed studio apt on the 3rd floor of a historic brownstone built in 1899, this lovely, private space is filled with sunlight and offers stylish comfort at an affordable rate, a stone's throw from Manhattan. Fully equipped with linens, dishes, and comfortable furnishings, and brimming with historic charm, it boasts three large windows, an original decorative fireplace, brand new appliances, and claw-food bathtub with shower. Though cozy, it is well designed and can sleep 4 by virtue of a comfortable queen sized bed as well as a couch that pulls-out to be a double-bed. Perfect for a couple, small family or close friends. This Brooklyn neighborhood is charming and tree-lined, and the popular neighborhood cafe is a half-block away. Shopping, restaurants, and laundry are all within a short walking distance, and the subway station is a 5-min walk. A trip to Manhattan takes only 18 mins to downtown and 30 to Times Square.

Convenient New York Location: Three blocks from A express to Manhattan (15 mins to Wall Street, 35 to Times Square), ½ block to grocery store and laundromat, one block from coffee shop that is the heart of the neighborhood, one block from good bistro-style restaurant, nice wine shop around the corner, three doors down from small park with playground.

Completely Private Apartment Within A Real Home: This apartment is completely private, with locked door, on the top-floor of a townhouse occupied by a family (us). On rare occasions, guests may see us in the hallway (two parents, a 3-year-old, and a very friendly dog named Lucy), coming in or out of the building. Guests can feel free to ask questions about NYC or the neighborhood at any time.

Payment: 1/2 Payment will be expected prior to the start of the vacation and the remainder of the payment upon arrival. Payment may be made online, through PayPal, or (if time allows) by check via postal mail. Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given if reservation is canceled 30 days in advance. At 15 days, 1/2 of the amount will be refunded.

I just came from a week spent at this wonderful little apartment, and I can't say enough good things about it. I was working in Manhattan - starting very early each morning, and working long, exhausting days - and having this charming place to come home to every night was invaluable. It is bright, clean, spacious, cozy, and so well-appointed - everything I could have needed was there for me. The subway station is a few short blocks away, and trains to Manhattan run frequently and quickly - I was in Chelsea within 25 minutes of walking out the front door. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet, with trees everywhere and shops just around the corner, and my hosts were friendly and welcoming while still allowing me my space. Absolutely perfect. There is nothing quite like spending a day soaking in all the excitement and energy of Manhattan, and then curling up with a cup of tea and a good book on a comfy sofa in a beautiful space to bring the day to a close. I hope to be back soon.

Just Lovely

A friend and I were travelling from Toronto, Canada to Brooklyn and needed a place to stay. We searched and were referred to Mike and Leecia's lovely place. Not knowing what to expect we were a bit weary, but our stay couldn't have been more perfect.

The studio is beautifully decorated and was just perfect for us. Mike and Leecia equipped the place with everything needed (pots and pans, coffee maker, iron, sheets etc). Upon our arrival they warmly welcomed us and made us feel like we belonged. Leecia was kins enough to give us tips on how to get around New York and was there to answer any questions we had.

The lovely studio was situated in a quiet neighbourhood and was close to all the neccessities. Grocey stores, Restaurants, Subway stations, Laundry Mats etc. Even the people on the streets were kind.

We loved the place and would recommend it to anyone. You could not ask for a better place, a better neighbourhood, better landlords or even yet ... a better price. After searching many rental websites, Leecia and Mike provided us with the most reasonable price.

We would stay at Mike and Leecia's again at any given opportunity.
