A large private backyard is perfect for kids to play in, or simply to walk around barefoot, enjoying the fragrant plumeria blossoms.
This home is located a ten minute walk from the Mauna Lani shopping center, which features many new shops and restaurants, as well as a large grocery store. It is also located a one minute walk from the KaMilo recreational facility, which includes two large pools, two jacuzzi spas, and an exercise room with the latest in gym equipment. One of the most beautiful beaches on the Big Island is also just down the street from your front door, and with access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club as guests at KaMilo, you can enjoy all the services and amenities the resort has to offer.

We chose to buy at KaMilo because of the reputation the developer has for building high quality homes in Hawaii, as well as the US Mainland. Hawaii is a great place for families to get together and vacation, and we hope that many others can enjoy our beautiful home too!
KaMilo at Mauna Lani is a brand new development in the luxurious Mauna Lani Resort area, and has great amenities such as the two pools, exercise room, and spa area, as well as the outdoor grilling and recreation area. It is a quiet community with friendly residents and staff, and the close proximity to all the resort facilities makes it a perfect vacation destination.
Outstanding location in Mauna Lani Resort, quiet and relaxing, yet right next to a facility with two pools, jacuzzis and a workout room, access to which is included. Great unit, clean and well kept, roomy and very open, Hawaiian atmosphere. Close to restaurants and grocery store, with golf cart provided to get to them and to the private access club right on the beach which comes with the unit. Hawaiian sea turtles ("honu") often viewable just a few feet from shore while snorkeling. Perfect Hawaii getaway!
We had another great time in Kona. This was our first stay in Mauna Lani. The home is quite spacious and comfortable. This place had lots of extras like a golf cart, snorkle gear and even bikes. The biggest bonus was use of a Highlander SUV. I was really concerned about the A/C because I like it cooler when I sleep. Well you can leave the A/C off all day, turn it on before bed and the whole place cools down within 15 minutes. I was very impressed. The Fairmont Orchid is a 5 minute walk away and is a must see. Kai was very helpful whenever we had questions or concerns.
The Mauna Lani shops are about 10-15 minute walk away which was a bit far for our liking but always nice to get out for a walk.
So to be fair I have just a couple of negatives to mention. I know beds are a personal preference, but we found the beds here too soft for our liking and the pillows are quite flat and dated. We also found that the kitchen cookware was quite worn out and the dishwasher really has issues cleaning dishes so we did a lot of hand washing. The outdoor BBQ works great provided you have a long stick lighter to ignite it.
The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. It's quite a peaceful spot and all the new construction happening on site is a non factor because it's at the other end of the resort.
This was a great place. Great location and all the amenities one needs for a relaxing vacation. It will be our place to stay on the Big Island! Pool just around the corner! Golf cart fun to get around!

Beautiful unit with all the amenities. Excellent response by owner or assistant if needed. The location is perfect for biking to Petroglyphs Park sunsets, Mauna Lani Beach club, fitness center and beach yoga, walking to restaurants. We stayed two weeks and would definitely come again. Having the use of the Toyota highlander was an extra perk not usually available with other rentals.
We had 6 adults stay 10 days and had a great time. The house is very nice and quite large. It is in a great location near the beach. The house is right next to the pools, which he loved. Kai and his assistant were extremely responsive and helpful.
