We recently stayed at the house for a summer getaway with several of our friends. We loved the house and were so happy with our stay. Here are a few things you should know:
-If you're looking for a private cabin in the woods, far away from civilization, look elsewhere. Although the neighborhood is quiet (during the summer, most of the other vacation rentals seemed vacant), the next door neighbors have young children so you may hear them playing in the days and evenings. This place is great if you need the space and privacy of a house but also want the convenience of having the Village nearby. As a group of 5 adults with two dogs, we wanted to avoid driving as much as possible. This was perfect.
-The house is tastefully decorated with a subtle retro themes. You can expect to find Star Wars Monopoly, great photo books, fanboy comic books, a record player with an eclectic mix of vintage music, framed vintage synthesizer records, Xbox, etc. If none of these things appeal to you, then maybe you'll love the fancy kitchen appliances.
-We did get a lot of use out of the kitchen. It's stocked with pretty much anything you'd need to make meals for a family. We brought our our condiments and herbs and spices, shopped for food, and made most meals at the house. However, some essentials were already in the fridge.
-David, the manager was very easy to deal with.
-If you or anyone in your group smokes, you'll need to take a walk. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
We really enjoyed our vacation and look forward to returning! Thanks David!
