Unique waterfront Beach House with incredible view.

Our family went to the beach house for Mother Day weekend, a tradition. The kitchen would have been the dream for a chef. The view was perfect. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and all the appliances were modern and worked well for every meal we prepared, there were endless spices on hand. The beds were very comfortable with a view from every room and plenty of linen. Right in front of the home the kids had small pools of water to play in. We used the canoe and took a ride up the river which was the most serene views we ever saw. We watched deer come down the river twice a day to feed, mother duck and babies, and bald eagles every day. The house was very clean and I think the floor had radiant heating !
We left behind a few gifts and the lady who cleans the home mailed them to us right away and even other items left behind. We used the fire pit to have camp fires and roast marshmellows. I could talk about this house all day long but have to go to work now.

This home is beautiful and very well appointed with everything we needed. They should include more pictures of the view because it is really quite specatcular. You are right on Joe Creek and can easily walk down it from the house directly to the ocean. You can see and hear the ocean from every room in the house. Nice firepit right outside and easy access up the road either direction to Pacific Beach and Seabrook. We saw otters and an eagle fishing right out our front window in the creek.

The only trouble we had was with the entertainment system. It seemed like an overly complicated setup and we had trouble getting it to work. The owners were extremely responsive to our phone call and we got everything working fine. They have an impressive library of DVDs! Wow!

Also, the home is directly on the highway. Super convenient when you want to get someplace, but noisy. We didn't have any trouble with noise from the road in the bedrooms. With the sound of the ocean (and the box fan we brought from home) we all slept like babies.

As a multi-family getaway (4 adults, 4 kids ages 3-9)), this was a great vacation rental. The home was the perfect size with each set of adults getting a queen size bed and the four kids pleasantly jumbled together in the third room. The views were perfect and beach access was a short 10 minute trek across a pebble creek.

We didn't want for anything, and ended up making most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen instead of going out to the local establishments (the kitchen was great — we just didn't feel the need to go out). We left an iPod plugged into the stereo system most of the week and the built-in speakers pleasantly filled the downstairs with our tunes as we watched the fog fill the view and the tide play with the creek in behind the house.

We'll definitely be back in the future and would recommend the house without reservation.
