Enjoy our very clean Cornfield Point beautifully located three bedroom ranch, one house from the water. The house is a duplex, but I do not rent both sides at the same time. There is a large fully equipped eat in kitchen combined living room with Pergo floor. There are three cable TVs and a DVD player. The spacious tile bathroom is newly remodeled and has a washer and dryer. There is a three season porch, and plenty of parking. The yard is large with a private back yard, patio furniture and a gas grill. Also many activities at the club house with a playground and baseball field. The beach and neighborhood is fun and family orientated. So come to Old Saybrook to relax and enjoy the simple things in life like the most memorable sunsets of your life.

Old Saybrook is a quaint little New England town with a stunning Main Street, yet, bursting with all the necessary stores close by. Our beach is Cornfield point, a private beach association whom an attendant maintains daily. The association clubhouse has many activities in addition there is a basketball, tennis court, playground and a boat launch. There are scenic drives, bike routes, and sunset cruises. Just minutes away is the Fenwick Golf course that is open to the public, also, where Katherine Hepburn resided. In addition, you are only 30 minutes away from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos or the Mystic Seaport. Also the the Clinton and Tanger Outlet are minutes away.Take a drive through other scenic towns like Ivoryton, Haddam and a Essex steam train ride.Most of all enjoy the best sunsets of your life over the sound.

We rented here last year and were completety dissatified with our stay. The 3rd bedroom had a overwhelming musty odor..so bad that we could not have our children sleep in it. We complained and complained, but these complaints were met with denial and refusal to act to reduce the smell of the room. For over 2 weeks, we were told that a dehumitifier would be purchased to help with the smell...this never happened. The owner (who lives right next door) made no attempt to make our stay more pleasant, and when we asked for some kind of refund (as we paid for a 3 bedroom house, but were only able to use 2 bedrooms) she just flately denied that there was a smell or an issue at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE.
Owner's Response: In response to Do not rent here! Its a little over the top. It saddens me to think someone feels that awful about their stay in my home.I take great pride and joy in cleaning and maintaining it.Relatives of theirs recommended they vacation at my home from prior years of rental,because they loved it.2009 was a very rainy ,damp summer, Ive never had a problem. I find it very questionable for anyone to stay over 2 weeks in complete dissatisfaction and at the conclusion ask for money back. Renters usually write about their stay in my journal giving thanks and praise.if your interested please come see for yourself!
