Perfect Spot in Paradise

We loved staying at Villa Malecon. It is perfect for two couples as both bedrooms are master suites. We travel every Thanksgiving to the Caribbean and this is among our favorites. We loved being able to walk to bars and restaurants with great choices for everything from good breakfast - Belly Buttons, to bar food - Duffy's and Bananas, to very good food - Billi and Trade Winds (their Paella Night is a joy as well as fish specials), to maybe the best food in the Caribbean - El Quinepo which is truly exceptional.
Definitely rent a jeep, we chose a Jeep Liberty from Maritza's as the roads to some of the beaches are a challenge. We got to Playa Chiva (Blue) and it is gorgeous as well as Red, and Green. I loved snorkeling at Arenas (Green) but it is a ways out there. Navio is cool, with caves along the side, also a rough drive. Sun Bay with its lazy day palm trees turned out to be our favorite for long days of chilling.
We were fascinated by the Bio Bay, so beautiful. We went with Abe and they do a good job, vans are a trip, but worth it.
The Villa itself is very comfortable. Pool is fabulous. Bathrooms, there are four with the pool bath and outdoor shower, are well done. Outside dining tableau is perfect, a few mosquitoes, but not bad.
Noise from the Malecon was not bad, could hear music from the pool at night, but not bedrooms. Vieques is definitely an out of the way place but up and coming.
Gallery Galleleon is worth the trip.
Happy hour at Trade Winds for sunset with $1.50 Madellas was perfect.
We hope to return to Villa Malecon.
