Photos and Description of the Ormond-by-the-Sea vacation house rental
House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Our cute beach house sits halfway between the beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. Walk 2 minutes to the beach or the other way to the fishing pier! The house has been lovingly renovated. There is laminate wood flooring or tile throughout. Our fully stocked kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space.

In the living room you can watch the TV from the comfort of the double size pullout coach. There is a separate dining area with a huge table that seats six. The bathroom has been fully renovated and features thick towels. The bedrooms have large closets and high quality cotton linens with lots of pillows. The master bedroom has it's own TV and satellite box.

After a day at the beach relax on our wicker furniture in the cool Florida room. Fully screened in it offers a quite place to read or talk.

Hi I'm Lesley MacMillan and welcome to our beach house. My family and I love the Ormond Beach area so much that we purchased our future retirement home here. Though we live in Canada our hearts are on the beach. We hope that you enjoy your stay at our beach house and will visit again. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the house and area.

Why The Owner chose Ormond-by-the-Sea

Beautiful Ormond-By-The-Sea is a wonderful small quiet beachside community. You can walk down our street to the condo free beach at one end or to the community fishing pier overlooking the Intracoastal waterway at the other. Take a bike and explore the parks and shopping. Or drive down the A1A to Daytona Beach and Ponce Inlet. Disney World is just 80 min away! The people here are friendly and there is a laid back lifestyle that is quite relaxing. We visited the area so often that when the time was right we bought our own little piece of Florida sunshine!

What makes this house unique

You can take off your shoes and relax in our beach house. The area is laid back and so will you be once your feet hit the sand. At night go into the backyard and listen to the symphony of sound emanating from the tropical 'bush' behind our house. Look up and see the sky covered in stars. No city lights here! During the day walk or bike along the A1A or famous John Anderson taking shade in the mossy oaks. Stop by a park on the water and watch the boats go by. This is the way to vacation!

Great house, close to the beach. Everything was in great shape. I like this idea of vacation insurance instead of security deposits and I see more and more properties are starting to offer it, although this is by far the best deal for the week. Plenty of room for my dogs in the fenced in yard. We have been coming down to Ormond for about 5 yrs now, sometimes twice a year, and plan on buying or retiring here ourselves. My only gripe is with the management company, not the owner. When I requested a total price from the owner it apparently did not include the resort tax which adds a considerable amount to the weekly rental. I would just ask that it be clarified in the future because not all houses charge that or its included in the quote or specified that it will be added on. I still would've rented and would definitely rent from again.
Owner's Response: I am so pleased that the renter enjoyed their stay at our house. We too will be enjoying the Ormond area when I retire. Thanks for the tax insight. In future I will list the taxes that will be added to the rental amount.

The house was just as described. The location was excellent for us, we have vacationed in Daytona for many years so we know where eveything is at. We had a great time my little dog loved the back yard and the screened porch. The only thing from our vacation was the fact that the reality company holds the security deposit a long time. We actually stayed a couple of extra days but checked out on Monday the 6th and it took eight weeks to get my security deposit back. But other than that we did have a great time.
If you like crab legs Crazy Horse is great.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
Owner's Response: I'm so glad that Sarah and her family enjoyed their stay. Just an update on the security deposit. There is no longer a $200 deposit. Renters pay $25 and sign a security waiver which acts like insurance if any damage is done. So no more waiting for the deposit to be returned and no damage worries.

We had a great visit! Public beach access very close by with bathrooms, shower and lifegaurd. There was shopping nearby as well as several restaurants. It was on a quite street. The house was very clean and comfortable. Cool air-conditioning. It was also close to Orlando. We drove down to Sea World for the day.
Bring you bathing suit, toothbrush and some food and you will be set for a relaxing fun vacation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
