A strong believer in the free enterprise system, K. Wayne Foster currently owns or is a partner in seven companies. Specifically, he has been involved in the information processing industry for nearly 35 years. Wayne's record is one of excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction - elements he believes are the foundation of any successful business. Wayne began his career in the computer industry while serving in the United States Air Force in 1966. Upon his discharge he worked in the data processing department of Western Kentucky Gas Co. in Owensboro, KY. He also taught computer processing at the Owensboro College of Business. Wayne later worked for Data Services, Inc. and Systems Resources, also located in Owensboro. A management position with Amca Resources, Inc. moved Wayne and his family to Madisonville, KY, where they lived for six years. When Amca relocated to Louisville, KY, Wayne felt the time was right to strike out on his own. With the idea of writing some canned programs for the mining companies, Wayne began The Systems Specialist (TSS). What started as a dream in 1977 has become a multi-million dollar company. The Systems Specialist was named IBM Business Partner of the Year in 1994. TSS has also achieved the status of an 'IBM Premier Business Partner' and is consistently ranked among the top firms in the country in customer satisfaction. Wayne is 56 years old and he and his wife, Cathy, have six children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, hiking, water skiing and spending time with their family. Wayne and Cathy are active in their church as well as various civic organizations. Wayne attributes his achievements to his strong Christian values and his belief that doing what's right for the customer will ultimately make you successful. He embraces change as an opportunity to excel and believes the information processing industry will play an ever-increasing role in our everyday lives, as well as the business world.

Some the the unique benefits that I enjoy while staying at my property are: onsite washer & dryer, ample parking for RV or boat trailer, waterfront access with covered dock with 2 boat slips.
We had an incredible time at the A-Frame! We fished the whole weekend and caught plenty of catfish and crappie Even though it rained all weekend the view was still amazing!! We got engaged while we were there. For that, we will never forget the A-Frame on the lake:) the only con was the 5 flights of stairs up and down to get to the dock. If I lived there I would have killer legs...what a workout!
Great cozy, quiet place all at a bargain price. Perfect for family with one, two or maaaaybe three pre-teen/adolescent kids. Maybe not ideal for people with toddlers. Here's why: Good workout going up and down stairs to the dock. The climb up and down the stairs was worth it. Fishing was a blast. Only minor complaint: 11 days to get deposit back. Even so, a comfortable, peaceful bargain of a getaway.
We enjoyed our stay, but it does take a little while to cool the upstairs down. It was good to have the extra box fans. The hand rails at the upper part of the stairs are a little loose, and the stairs are narrow. My wife slipped down the stairs the second morning of our stay, but just know about those hand rails.....Overall, we had a good stay. The walk to the water is a little tough, and the dock is ok. Take your own boat, cause the ramp is not far, and there is plenty of room here to park a trailer.
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) had a wonderful stay at this lake house. It was very quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Everything we were looking for on our vacation. We utilized everything available and felt right at home. We have no complaints and will absolutely be back!
This cabin is managed by a corporation, not a person like all other VRBO rentals I have done. Only one person seems to know about this cabin and when you call there is no option to reserve this cabin, you have to pick something else and ask them about it.
It has a wonderful view of the lake and both sunrise and sunset from the upper deck since the leaves are off the trees. It was great to sit out and watch the sun rise in the morning and see the birds flying over the lake.
When I got there, there was a real strong musty/moldy smell and I would not have stayed except that I had brought a room air purifier with me just in case due to my allergies. The air purifier helped, but was not able to clear the air completely after running for 3 days (the air purifier worked great in other cabins I have visited). My head was congested all weekend from this. My clothes still had that smell when I got home, so I had to wash everything - even what I didn't wear.
The wifi didn't work and unplugging it and plugging it back in got it to work for a few minutes, then it stopped again. I ended up plugging a network cable into the cable modem (“RCA” box) for my computer. Not a big deal for me since I didn't need it much and only had a computer (no iPod, tablet, etc). I did call and they had the cable company reset the cable modem for me, but it only worked for a little while again. They did give me the cable company's support number, but I didn't want go through that. You may want to bring a network(LAN) cable for your computer.
The baseboard heaters are independently controlled, but they only leave one on for you and no instructions about it. So the first night was rather cold since it was below freezing that night and that one couldn't keep up. There is one on each side of the living room, the one on the left is obvious, the one on the right doesn't look like it would work, but does. The one upstairs is to the right of the window and it missing the plastic knob, so you have to turn the metal thing that sticks out. The other one in the downstairs bedroom is obvious.
I did spend a lot of time hiking – the Canal loop (at the North visitor center) is great for seeing both lakes on the same hike and also you can just hike through the forest from the Golden Pond visitor center.
Even though I enjoyed the view of the lake, due to the musty/moldy smell I can't return to this cabin.
