This vacation home is perfect in all seasons. From winter skiing to summer kayaking, the Mad River Valley offers exciting activities throughout the year. The home is ideally situated - tucked between two legendary ski resorts, Sugar Bush and the Mad River Glen. It lies 30 minutes east of an international airport and the avant-garde college town of Burlington, 20 minutes west of Vermont's quaint capital, Montpelier, and is just 15 minutes off Interstate 89.
Vermont is famous for its fall foliage. Hiking trails are abundant and even the views along the country roads are amazing. The Valley and nearby Waterbury and Waitsfield are home to great restaurants proudly serving locally sourced and produced foods, cheeses, beers and wine.
Other Activities: During the summer, the area has kayaking and tubing on the Mad River. There is hiking along the Long Trail and in the numerous state parks, and on the trails along the Mad River. The river also has a number of picturesque swimming holes. There are outfitters for kayaking, canoeing, tubing and skiing in Waitsfield.
Ski: Our house is located almost equidistant from Stowe and Sugarbush. Mad River Glen and Mount Bromley are just a few minutes farther away. All the resorts have full amenities, and can cater to all skier levels. Stowe, Sugarbush and Mount Bromley also have facilities for snowboarding.
