3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8)

Newly remodeled rustic home with a view of the Pacific Ocean. Has an adorable loft that opens your views to the ocean. Cozy enough for 2 yet can sleep 8 in beds. It has a newly tiled kitchen/family room floors, granite countertops and new carpet.

It is a 5-minute walk to the ocean, and has 2 outdoor decks with unobstructed views for those who don't want to walk down to the beach. An additional side deck that is completely protected from the wind. The other outdoor deck has a tiled BBQ area surrounded by redwood decking. Great for snacking what comes off the barbie! Our family owned vacation home has been a spot for many happy years and memories. Perfect spot for family or friend reunions. With its updates like HDTV, WiFi, and a CD player, its rustic feel is complemented with all the modern conveniences including a microwave, oven, dishwasher and 2 full baths. Make your get-away, a lasting memory too! Easy parking!

Year Purchased: 1972: My mother and father purchased this house in 1972. Since then, my family has stayed there many times. We live within a hour of the house so it was nice to have weekend get-a-ways.

Why the Owner Chose Bodega Bay: We chose to buy this vacation rental because it is walking distance from the water. It also has its own private driveway where multiple families could park for the weekend. It sleeps up to 8 people so we would have our family reunions and other large gatherings there without feeling cramped.

The Unique Benefits of this House: Our property is unique because it is equipped with large bay windows that have a wonderful view of the ocean. While cooking breakfast or dinner in the kitchen you can witness the spectacular sunsets. There is also a patio and patio furniture with an enclosed deck for viewing the ocean.

By The Sea was a wonderful place to stay while in Bodega Bay. My husband and I stayed here over the Christmas holidays, and it was just delightful.

The home was clean and tidy and had been decorated for Christmas. It had all the amenities one could hope for. I told the owner I was making prime rib for Christmas dinner, and she went out and bought a new roasting pan! There are 3 separate decks, two of which have sweeping views of the beach and ocean.

I found this home to be charming, comfortable and am most definitely planning on going back again. The owner, Susie, is very personable and pleasant to deal with, and she made sure we felt very welcome in her beautiful beach home.

We had a wonderful week at By the Sea. Our grandchildren, daughter, and son in law stayed with us and my brother and his wife from Santa Rosa joined us for several visits. We had an opportunity to go on the Sonoma Canopy Tours, ride horses at the stable only 5 minutes away, and kayak on Salmon Creek. Bodega Bay Kayaks delivered the kayaks to the foot of our road. The house was charming with a wonderful view of the ocean. Susie, the owner was very hospitable and provided a welcome gift of wine when we arrived.
We hope to stay in this house again.

This home is so charming and beautifully appointed. Thoughtful, homey touches everywhere. Our family enjoyed it very much and look forward to staying there again. I believe this was our 4th trip to this beautiful home and it was just as great as the first 3 times. The owner always a delight to deal with and always makes us feel very welcomed upon our arrival!

This happened to be a spectacular weekend, beautiful walks on the beach and even a local Art Walk. The new TV in the main living area was also a nice surprise/addition!

We've stayed at this home many times, all before the renovations to the kitchen and elsewhere. The improvements are all very nice and make the house that much better. This is a great home for a family or two, great view, cool vibe and well-equipped.
