5 bedrooms+plus sleeping bag loft, 3.5 baths, sleeps 10-12+

Stretch out and relax. Spread out too. There's space for everyone in our roomy, 5-bedroom home. Southern exposure sunlight fills the all-glass-front house. Tall pines and birch trees are your view.

The 3rd floor loft has a reading nook and room for the kids to roll out sleeping bags. The 'lodge' feel of the living room is a great gathering area for the adults. Our media/game/family room has a big screen TV and a game table (and an extra fridge). 5 spacious bedrooms, including 2 bunk bedrooms, provide plenty of room for kids, and plenty of privacy for adults. Modern kitchen including new gas stove!!! Huge country wood table will fit the whole group!

Our home is located on a private road shared by 4 other homes. It is secluded yet close to the slopes. Take a left out of the driveway and you are less than 10 minutes to Killington's Skyship gondola. Take a right, and it is 12 minutes to Okemo Mountain.The best of both worlds! Outdoor hot-tub for 8.

Killington and Okemo Ski Mountains: Some of New England's best ski mountains are 10 minutes from our door. Our quiet surroundings on a quiet road of only 4 other ski chalets make this ideal for a large family or a couple families looking to get away from it all. We are fortunate to not have to deal with the crowds of Killington's Mountain Road or crowded downtown Ludlow (Okemo). The services, restaurants, nightclubs are, of course, always there when we want them, but we are never forced to deal with the inconvenience of crowds when we don't want to.

Also, we travel to other ski mountains close-by such as Sugarbush, Suicide Six, Mad River Glen, and Stowe.

So much more than skiing!!!: Snowmobile rentals are right down the street offering guided tours of Coolidge State Park. Skating and tubing is available at both Killiington and Okemo Resorts.

Visit nearby Woodstock, VT for an afternoon of shopping and eating in a nice quaint Vermont village. Nearby Rutland (20 minute drive) has 2 large movie theaters, family restaurants or every kind, and big box shopping centers. Travel to Manchester, VT (about 1 hour away) for some AWESOME outlet shopping.

President Calvin Coolidge homestead, museum, and burial site is 2 miles up the road here in Plymouth.

About Mark Nickerson

We are a family of four who absolutely LOVE our Vermont weekends. We purchased the home when our two boys were young and just learnign to ski. My wife and I are both very busy people with a business and positions in our town's government (Selectman and Board of Education). We know what it means to leave it all behind and get away from it all! Upon arriving to the Vermont house, we always feel the stress and tension leave our bodies...its a wonderful thing! And we want you to have the very same experience we have.

Why Mark Nickerson chose Plymouth

When we are not using our home, we make it available to responsible and mature families who will treat our home with respect and care. Its it our second home. We use it at least every other weekend so it is well taken care of. It is NOT at party house nor is it a generic, white-walled, plain rental. It is a cozy lodge with plenty of room. It is truly special.

What makes this chalet unique

Some of the special things are:

- we have an awesome plow service. Our road and driveway are flat...and that's extremely important when first arriving to the house after a long drive only to find you can't make it up the driveway or it hasn't been plowed yet.

- We are 'off the VERY beaten path'. We are NOT on the Killington Mountain Road or near downtown Ludlow. And we like that very much. Those areas get extremely busy, especially on the busy weekends. Our house provides access to the 'back entrances'. We usually start our ski day at Killington at the Skyship gondola...a meer 10 minutes from our home. You will avoid congestion, initial lift lines, and shuttles (parking is a close walk to the lift). At Okemo, we start and end our day at Jackson Gore. Again, we avoid the craziness and traffic jams in Ludlow...and the shuttle busses and remote parking issues.

Simply put, we like things simple....our home is perfect for that!
