Christmas Family Getaway

Our family spent an entire week at The Oaks over Christmas and everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is somewhat secluded (no one right next door to watch everything going on) and quite spacious with all of the amenities in the listing and more. We chose to eat all meals there, except one, and found the kitchen to be well-stocked with unexpected utensils and small appliances. We brought all our food with us, but there are two grocery stores nearby in Pigeon Forge where you can purchase anything you want or need. Also, with all of the shopping and possible activities in the area, boredom would be your own choice!
We had some wonderful family time making use of the hot tub, as well as tournaments on the air hockey, foosball & pool tables -- fantastic when you have children to amuse! There's also a large, flat-screen TV with DVD player in the living area that we only used once for a children's video. Why watch TV when there are so many better activities to enjoy?
The Oaks is a cabin that would not be described as "upscale", nor "rustic", but somewhere in the middle. It provides everything you could want or need for a nice, quiet holiday and our family recommends it to yours. (Comment: there is only sleeping for 8 in actual bedrooms, so we had to put two children on the sofa bed in the living room, which was a little inconvenient when the adults wanted to stay up late to play games, etc.) There was a multitude of linens provided, including nice large bath towels, extra blankets, comforters, etc., and space heaters for the cooler areas. They thought of everything!
The owners are wonderful and went over and above to make sure everything was handled and provided. At one point, the control panel on the hot tub went out making it unusable and, even though the owners were out of town for Christmas, they arranged for its repair within hours of our call. They are dedicated to making sure your vacation is all it can be and definitely deserve five stars!!
Owner's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed your holiday at the Oaks and grateful that you noticed how hard we try to serve our guests well during their stay. I really appreciate the suggestion you made regarding adding hooks, etc. Those have been added and now we are putting in a new kitchen and living room floor. I hooe you will come again in the future.
