Second floor rental includes sunny bedroom with loads of closet space, full bath, and a writing nook/interior balcony overlooking an atrium in a beautiful, architecturally-designed, modern, owner-occupied house in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Recently featured in the New York Times.

The suite is in a three bedroom modern home, all immaculate and brand new, with floor to ceiling windows, 18 ft atrium, a fully equipped chef's kitchen, living room/dining room, fireplace, central AC, wireless Internet, washer/dryer, and backyard Japanese garden, all bathed in sunlight on a friendly residential street. House is shared with the owner, a university professor and filmmaker. Second floor renters may also share the 1st floor kitchen and garden.

Other features include wireless broadband Internet, a copier/printer/fax, unlimited phone use for domestic and long distance in the U.S., and selected countries in Europe. Blocks from Prospect Park and Subway and 20 minutes to Manhattan.

Beautiful quiet place in near Prospect Park

We were very happy with staying here. The condominium is very modern and elegant. It is very clean. They were also very nice to us and gave us some good pointers on things to do. We would highly recommend this place for anyone considering.

My partner and I had a great stay at David's house. We stayed for a week for a conference in Manhattan. David and his girlfriend, as well as Maya, his amazing dog, were very welcoming, telling us all the great local places to eat and giving us tips on navigating the city. This was our first time in NYC and Brooklyn. Easy walk and subway ride into Manhattan, great restaurants in Park Slope, would absolutely stay here again if we visit NYC in the future.

On arrival, David met us at our taxi outside (in the pouring rain) with an umbrella, helped us in and carried our heavy bags up the stairs. He was instantly very welcoming and were made to feel right at home. He gave us lots of friendly advice and an orientation so we could find our way around the house and around Brooklyn. He offered us a huge selection of reading material as shown in his pictures, as well as some travel guides for NYC.

We also met his girlfriend during our stay, who gave us some valuable tips on things to do. Maya the dog and Molly the cat was very friendly and well behaved. Park Slope seemed very safe. We stayed in October so there were lots of decorations up for Halloween. The house had nice high ceilings, the bedroom has a walk in closet, and the bed was nice and big.

We had a lovely stay, Thanks David!

We had a wonderful week in David's home. The house is beautiful, clean and modern. Brooklyn is a great place to stay and to meet very nice people. You are only a few subway stops away from Manhattan.
Thanks to David's reccommendations we discovered some very nice restaurants in the area. The next time we (when it's just the 2 of us) go to NYC again will definitely check the availability of this accommodation.

I just returned from my 4 week wonderful stay in David's home. He was very welcoming and helpful. His home is just beautiful. My room had an amazing view. A real treat to wake up to every morning. The bed was comfortable. The closet was more than ample. Molly, the cat and Mia, the dog were great companions. I felt at home and safe at all times. The F train station is just a pleasant 4 1/2 block walk. I would recommend this property.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car
