This recently remodeled California bungalow has much of its original charm with updated modern amenities. The large front porch welcomes you inside; the hardwood floors, fireplace & tons of windows add to the warmth & charm. It is on a tree-lined street in a centrally located upper Westside neighborhood only 8 blocks from State Street in beautiful Santa Barbara.

The back bedroom has a sumptuous queen bed, a walk-in closet, & french doors opening out to a large sunny back yard (gardener included). The other has 2 comfy twin beds. The office/den has a desk-high speed Internet access included-as well as a seating area. The sun-drenched kitchen kept the original cute factor, with modern updates including dishwasher, gas range, microwave, frig with icemaker, and much more. The laundry room comes equipped with a washer/dryer.

This single-family home (only home on the lot) is the perfect spot for a vacation or business trip with your family in tow.

Notes:
The 1920s cottage has updated electrical to handle 21st century technology, a central heating system, ceiling fans in each bedroom, and a good amount of closet space.The large sunny back yard has young avocado and orange trees, as well as established fig and loquat trees, and grape vines. The side yard has wonderful old poinsettias trees as tall as the house! They are spectacular for the winter holidays. Weekly garden maintenance service is included and an irrigation system is installed and programmed! There are 2 off-street parking spaces. There is a small (approx 9'x4') storage space at the driveway as well as a storage shed (8'x15') in the back yard. There are some beach chairs, kid's bucket and shovel for making sand castles, and a picnic basket for trips to the beach and elsewhere. There is also a Santa Barbara Axxess card which gives you discounts at many restaurants and stores around town.

Lovely place in Santa Barbara

This is a lovely little bungalow/cottage for a short term break in Santa Barbara. We stayed there for 3 nights (My wife and I, my parents and our 2 little ones, aged 5 and 3. There are 2 cosy bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) and an extra room for the kids to stay adjacent to master bedroom. The living areas were great too. It only had one bathroom but it had a good shower.

The owners have thought of everything in preparing their rental for guests. They provided things in the kitchen, bathroom, livings rooms that made it feel just like home (spice rack, games, needle and thread, DVDs for grown ups and kids, etc, etc,...).

Much better value than staying in a hotel.

Very clean, well appointed and well stocked property away from the busyness of Santa Barbara. Owner was helpful, available and made us feel welcome. We were on a girls' getaway. Enjoyed how spacious the home is and loved the architectural and historical features. More than adequate kitchen supplies- which is a weakness in many VRBO's but not this one! I do not wear shoes inside so I can tell you; the floors were truly clean. No problems with WIFI. Helpful "guest book". All in all a wonderful experience.

A place to relax!

We've had such a beautiful time here in the bungalow. We really felt like home, safe and comfortable. Yours is a place to stay and relax, if possible for at least 15 days! We do hope to come back and stay longer. Each and every detail has been carefully and beautifully cared for, which made our staying enjoyable and lovely. Once again, congratulations for this lovely "oasis"! We also want to thank you for the kind welcome, after 24 hours flying mode, it was so nice!

Perfect Getaway

This home is very cozy and tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Minutes from shopping and dining on State Street. The yard is so lovely we spent hours back there sitting around the picnic table or in the sun. We had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!

Lovely Santa Barbara Cottage

This was a great find for our family. Our kids loved playing in the backyard. The place was very clean and cosy. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The location is great. The owner is very nice. We would definitely return.
