NEWLY REMODELED NOB HILL DESIGNER 'PIED-A-TERRE', STEPS FROM UNION SQUARE!

Chinatown Studio Rental Photos and Description

1 studio, 1 bathroom with washer/dryer, sleeps 2.

This - newly renovated, artfully designed and furnished urban residence is a sheltered and quiet oasis within walking distance of Union Square, the financial district and just across from the Ritz Carlton San Francisco. An abundance of high-fashion boutiques and specialty stores to please the savviest shopper... and the finest cuisine San Francisco has to offer, all just a short stroll out the door.

With downtown San Francisco as your backyard, this property is reminiscent of a Parisian boutique hotel. Ideally located for seeing San Francisco without a car, and a great hotel alternative when vacationing or attending conventions. Walk to many attractions and meeting sites. Excellent nearby public transportation: cable car 1/2 block away, buses and taxis within easy reach. Laundry in unit, Dry Cleaners nearby.

For your convenience, there is a J&W Market within the building itself. Non smoking unit/building. Common deck area. Roof top access for amazing city views...

San Francisco Starts Here: Bounded by Market, Kearny, Bush and Taylor Streets, this very walkable 32-block area is home to approximately 6 million square feet of the city's finest retail space. In addition, Union Square boasts many great restaurants, live theater, a wonderful concentration of fine art galleries, luxurious salons and day spas.

The heart of it all: Union Square Park is the heart of this vibrant community and just minutes away from many popular nearby attractions such as Yerba Buena Gardens and SF MOMA to the south and Chinatown to the north. There is something in Union Square for everyone -- every age, every taste and every pocket book. Union Square is the City's most popular visitor shopping destination with one of the highest concentrations of luxury retail shopping in the world, offering the convenience of mall shopping in a historic open air setting. Most stores are open until 8 p.m., and some even later. Union Square is one of the most popular dining destination and while it has its share of nightlife, remains a safe and vibrant area to walk around at night. Whether your interest is in art, dining, shopping or theater, you'll never run out of things to do and see in Union Square !

A little History: Union Square, one of the most historic and beloved places in San Francisco, is among the most notable urban spaces in the world. Its history reflects that of San Francisco and each change it has undergone mirrors the greater shifts in the history of our country.

In 1847, the City of San Francisco commissioned Jasper O'Farrell to lay out a design for streets and parks for the city. He chose Union Square for one of two public squares. These squares were later deeded to the city by Colonel John Geary to be held in perpetuity for park purposes. Early maps of San Francisco show Union Square and Washington Square as the two then unnamed spaces reserved for public parks. Union Square was named on the eve of the Civil War (1861-5) as a demonstration of support for the Union .

I fell in love with this studio and couldn't have been luckier to find such a great place. Since I don't live full time in SF, I wanted to share my wonderful home with those that will love it as much as I do! You couldn't ask for a better location, quainter building, with a downstairs little market for convenience. I hope you love the studio as much as I do.

STAY HERE!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I just returned today from Megan's studio in San Fran. We had a wonderful stay and recommend her stylish and cute studio to travelers visiting. It's close to all the major points of interest by foot, we walked everywhere or public transportation. The location was perfect for us, we walked to Chinatown, union square, Fishermans Wharf, Tenderloin district even Alamo Square, to see the painted ladies! We rented a car and found an inexpensive garage a couple blocks away to see other towns outside of San Fran too. There are also great places for coffee, all meals for the day and after dinner drinks too.

Megan was so easy to work with from the time of booking until we checked out. This was our very first vrbo rental and she made it seamless.

Book your next trip and take advantage of the location and amenities her place has to offer!

Thanks again, Megan!

  • 4 of 5
My wife and I stayed at this small sudio apartment and it was better than staying at a hotel for about the smae price. Great location in Nob Hill, close to trolley, gorcery store and China Town. We were there for a week and found this place just perfect.

I stayed here over one month. It was a perfect place for enjoying city life in San Francisco. The location was absolutely perfect for me, near to China town and everywhere. Very private, quiet, and peaceful. The owner was very helpful. Thank you, Megan, I hope to stay here again next time.

CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE IN PERFECT LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful visit to San Francisco over the holidays. All of our communication with Megan, (the owner) was timely, easy and very friendly. We've stayed at many VRBO properties and are also owners, so we especially appreciated the ease of the rental from inital contact, picking up the keys, the apartment was completely as advertised and photographed, and check-out was a breeze as well. The furnishings and appliances, cookware, etc are all quality and it's obvious that it's been furnished as a home, not simply a vacation rental. The location couldn't be better, very close to Union Square and Chinatown. We won't hesitate to stay again when our travels take us to San Francisco. Thanks Megan!

This place is fantastic! Every year, I look for somewhere to go exciting for my birthday and once we decided on SF, I decided to use VRBO to locate a place to stay. I must say we were not disappointed, it was exactly as shown in the photos, quaint, quiet and romantic. My boyfriend and I were greeted by the owners upon our arrivals and we immediately felt as though we had known each other forever. They just had a genuine warmth about themselves. They took the time to go everything with us in the studio, provided brochures, maps and gave us specific details on where we were located and transportation options. They also made sure we new how to get in touch with them in case an emergency arose.

Since it was my birthday, they surprised us with a bottle of bubbly left chilling in the fridge! The property was immaculate and very well maintained. We loved having the convenience of the market in the same building. But most of all we were in walking distance or 1/2 block from the Trolley to all the major attractions.

I would highly recommend staying at this property and having the opportunity to meet these great owners.
