Cozy Retreat Surrounded by Water

My husband and I had a wonderful 2-night stay in this cottage with two other friends. The late October weather was cold and wet, but we were cozy and warm inside this cottage. We immediately felt right at home with the comfortable furnishings and crackling fire. During the day we walked the beach up to the nearby Joseph Whidbey park where we saw two bald eagles perched in the same tree! Since the weather didn't really cooperate during our stay, we decided to make a day out of visiting the wineries (and 1 distillery) on the island. We wrapped it up with some wonderful meals in Coupeville, where mussels are the local delicacy - yum! Board games and drinks by the fire with crashing waves outside - I can't think of a better way to relax.
The house is well-appointed. I didn't feel like we were lacking anything. "Shabby-beach-chic" decor in the house is cute and not cluttered. The king bed is soooo comfortable that I actually pulled up the sheets to see what kind it was for future reference.
Having the full-sized washer and dryer was nice. I was wrapping up a long business trip in Seattle and it was great to get my laundry done before going back home to Pennsylvania.
This was a fantastic stay and really made our trip. You'd better like water because it surrounds you at this house. You quite literally cannot get much closer to the water unless you get on a boat.
If I find myself back in the area I would love to stay here again!
