Any damage caused by the oil spill last summer aren't detectable to the human eye. The city did a wonderful job staying out in front of the problem as well as the federal government.
Shopping is in abundance throughout the area. You are a very short drive from the Destin Commons, Harbor Walk, Baytown Wharf, Seaside or the outlet malls.
Come down and have a beach side tailgating party. Does your team have an away game that is televised? Take advantage. Come to the beach house and watch it live on TV while grilling and enjoying friends and family. And hopefully, your team can win the game (unless they are playing LSU of course!!!!). We will be willing to negotiate rates depending on occupancy and timing so don't hesitate to contact me via email or cell.
If you are a snowbird looking for a place to hibernate from the cold northern winters, we have the perfect spot and are willing to make good and fair deals for long periods of time.
If you are hungry for breakfast, you are right down the road from local eateries such as Another Broken Egg and the Donut Hole as well as national chains like Cracker Barrel.
For lunch or dinner, find your way to Callahan's for the best home cooked lunches in town, Harbour Docks for sushi or Japanese Grill, all the New Orleans style restaurants in Harbour Walk or take a ride out to 30A and visit Stinky's (yes, you read that right).
Destin continues to add new restaurants and there are several national themes such as Ruth Chris, Flemings Steak House, Carrabba's, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hogs Breath, Fuddpuckers, Hooters and Hard Rock Cafe.
If you are cravin Italian, The Funky Blues Shack or Graffiti's, for sports bars, there is Maguire's, Johnny O'Quigly's, Beef O'Brady's, etc.
Some other very well known restaurants include The Lucky Snapper, Marina Cafe, Hammerheads, Dewey Destin, A.J.'s, etc.
The condo is very easy access on and off of Highway 98 and just minutes away from any of these fantastic restaurants. On the condo property, there are two pools as you walk to the beach, an area to shower off when you get back from the beach and on the beach itself, there are chairs that are available as well as an opportunity to parasail or jet ski right off the beach.
Down the road from the condo, there are so many more water activities such as deep sea fishing, jet skiing, renting pontoon boats for a half or full day, sailing, golf, etc. If the weather is bad and it is a movie night, you have a Blockbuster directly across the street as well as 2 movie theaters in town.
As for my requirements, I do limit who I let stay in my condo and thus have a minimum age of 25 years or older to not only book but the majority of the group will need to be at least 25 or older unless if it parents and their children. Plus, anyone booking will have to stay in the condo and will also have to sign a waiver for damages. I am not trying to be difficult but as I have mentioned, this is our home away from home and it's upkeep is of the utmost importance to me and my family.
