FANTASTIC VIEW TO ATLANTIC AND CARIBBEAN OCEANS

My husband and I stayed at Hilltop in January, and enjoyed every minute. The house sits atop one of the highest points on the island, and has an unrivaled view of the entire island. We sat on the patio under the stars every night enjoying the breeze, and distant sounds of the island. Vieques is a destination to explore, and this spot up on the hill is the perfect launch spot to delve into all of the different sights that Vieques has to offer. The apartment is very spacious. Very safe. Nothing is so 'fancy' that you feel like you are walking on eggshells, but never once did we want for more. We were perfectly comfortable. The bed was terrific, the kitchen very well appointed. It really was just PERFECT for us. Barry the owner was helpful and lovely in every way. We will never stay anywhere else.

Want to feel like you live on top of the world. Great views as stated in the ad and whatever you need, just look from beach chairs to the perfect pot or pan. Great neighborhood and a nice secure feeling of being in a safe and friendly place. We have already made our reservation for this December and added about another week to our stay so that should say it all.

We've been to Vieques many times now. We stayed at everything from 7 digit priced homes to some places we consider real dumps. The Hilltop apartment has been the most perfect place, for us, to date. We are beach lovers and we are in our later 40's. We come to Vieques twice a year to experience the beaches. Things like a pool or ultra luxurious amenties at our rental house have little value to us. What we want is a comfortable place to come back to after being gone all day. The Hilltop meets those requirements. First, it's centrally located. Esperanza, Isabel and the refuge gate are all a very short drive and easy to reach. Secondly we don't have a super steep driveway to pull or back into and entering and leaving the house is easy. Nothing like having to pack all your gear up and down long flights or stairs or walk long drives. Thirdly it's quiet. Yes there were the roosters and the dogs, but no cars or fighting neighbors that we could hear and not nearly as much traffic as some other places we've been. Sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference. Hilltop has very nice beach chairs. Small thing until you realize that we spent nearly 40 hours in those chairs, some rental owners forget about that. Everything in the rental worked. Yeah we've had fancier kitchens and bigger bedrooms, but in the grande scheme of things (after you've been at the beach all day) it doesn't matter. You want a functioning kitchen, a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Hilltop has that covered. We stayed in Feb and the house was very cool and comfortable. We are returning in Nov, when the island can be warmer, we'll see how those tradewinds work at that time. Without even considering the views from the veranda (which is expansive), it's the best bang for the buck we've found. Throw in the views and it blows the others we've been at "out of the water" (no punn intended).
