This cabin is owned by 'The Greenes'. We grew up in North Carolina and attended college at Appalachian. We know and love this area and are happy to have the chance to share it with you. We have a 15 year old daughter who loves to bring her friends and have fun in the mountains at 'Where the Greene Grass Grows'
Kristi Greene purchased this cabin in 2009
We love the mountains! It is so nice in the heat of the summer, because it is usually very cool. In the winter it is fun to visit and go skiing with friends. The river is so natural and does not come with the sand that ends up all over everything when vacationing at the beach. The views are great. The shopping is awesome and you are always family in the NC mountains.
Great to read a book and listen to the creek. Nice to sit by the river or to go fishing. Perfect for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. Wake up to deer in our yard - almost guaranteed!
This little cabin is absolutely perfect for those wanting to get away for the weekend and enjoy the mountains. It is close to Boone and Blowing Rock which makes its location ideal. The cabin itself is adorable and cozy. Our dogs really enjoyed themselves and that was the whole point of our trip. The owners are wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend this cabin!
We had a wonderful weekend in the cabin! Everything was very comfortable and cozy! Our chocolate lab loved running around the yard and laying on the warm carpets!
My family came for a visit to Boone to see family we haven't seen in a long time and return to our "heritage" you could say. We had such a wonderful time in this lovely cabin. We sat on the back porch surrounded by hills and trees and played guitars and sang gospel hymns, read Bible stories to the children, shared many family means, and had the opportunity to say good mornings and good nights to everyone. It was such a perfect time, and this cozy cabin made it even more incredible. We have discussed returning frequently and would like this same cabin each and every time. Thank you for allowing our family to have shared in your "Haven of rest". MH-Spartanburg, SC
Spent Easter weekend at your charming cabin. We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. Would recommend the cabin for others. We spent one day shopping and the next at Hebron rock colony. Would liked it to have been a bit cleaner as we had small children with us, but we made due.
This cabin was the perfect place for us to come "home" to every evening after a day away exploring the nearby towns, parks and trails. It looks just like in the pictures. It is quaint, well-decorated, and very comfortable. The view is nice, too. My dog loved the big yard. Would highly recommend it to anyone. (It is about 25 minutes outside of Boone)
Great cabin, immaculate, and a great get away for families taking along a dog! Location was perfect and easy to get to any of the attractions. The owners were great to work with. We would recommend a stay at this place! Charming!
