Very private paradise. The yard is fenced for ultimate privacy. There are empty lots on either side and just nature across the canal. The pool and lanai area are huge with over 1100 sq feet of screened sunny splendor. The lanai area has a glass table for 4 with swivel, rocking chairs, two loungers, and 4 comfy cushioned chairs and coffee table. There is a large kitchen window pass through. Also on the deck area are another table for 4 near the gas grill and two other loungers. The spa seats 6 and has 50 jets, and lights. Along with 3 fans and lights, we also have two lighted palm tree lamps on the lanai just for fun! If you prefer to tan without a screen we have a separate tanning pad or the dock area. There is a small boat and electric trolling motor for exploring the canals. Inside we have air conditioning, lighted fans in each bedroom, living room and family room. This home is nicely furnished and decorated. Comfort is key! Reclining seats in the family room with a 50 inch TV.

Comfort is key!: All house furnishings are geared to comfort. You can put your feet up in the family room and really relax! There are plenty of glasses and bowls, utensils and pans. The lanai is large and has several seating areas. The pool is heated and protected from north winds in the winter. The hot tub has 50 jets and changing colored lights. There is an additional deck area for lounging, grilling, eating. There is even an area outside of the screened enclosure for tanning. Because the whole yard is fenced, it is extremely private for swimming and sunning.

The 50 inch TV has HD and includes many music channels. There is unlimited local and long distance calling in the US only. There is a wireless router and work area with view to the lanai and canal.

The dining table has swivel, chairs on casters. They are leather with arms, very comfortable for sitting. You can watch TV from the table if desired. Great for playing family games.

There is a printer for your use and two computer chairs.

Canal: This house faces East on a fresh water canal. It receives lots of sunshine all day from sun up through sun set. Because the house makes a little shade on the pool in the afternoon, it is still bearable on the really hot summer days. You can sit in our screened front porch area to watch the sunsets. There are no houses across the canal so this also contributes to the very private feel of this house. The canal is very close to Shamrock Lake, Lake Saratoga and Lake Kennedy. The little boat is yours to use for exploring the canals and lakes at no extra charge. There is even a fishing pole in the garage you can use.

Convenient Location: Another positive for this house is it's great location. You could walk or ride your bike (basket on bike) to the grocery store. You can ride bikes to two close by parks that have a playground for the kids. Sunsplash Water Park and Mike Greenwell's Family Fun Park are both only a mile away. It is very close to the main roads with restaurants. It is 10 miles to Cape Coral Yacht Club beach, 25 miles to Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach, about 8 miles to Fort Myers and the Edison/Ford Estate. The airport is 21 miles away.

This house is listed as the 22nd least expensive out of 869 listings for Cape Coral. You get a lot of value for your money when renting this house. Many guests return yearly after staying at Sunny Paradise.

  • Rate for up to 4 people Extra persons charged at $5 per person per day Pets $50 p week/$8 p day each
  • There is an additional $325 refundable security deposit if paying by check. If deposit is by credit card, the security deposit is only charged if there are damages after departure - usually there are none.
    A $500 deposit is due when the reservation is made. Personal checks, international money orders, or wire transfer of funds can be accepted as long as it is in US funds drawn on a US bank. I also accept credit cards. The final payment is due a month before arrival. The entry code will be given when full payment has been received. There could be additional cleaning fees, depending on type of pet. 2 night stays are possible but at a higher rate, ask if interested.
  • Cancellation Policy - If full payment has been received, the full security deposit will be returned along with taxes, cleaning fees. If canceled more than 60 days before arrival, a 10 % fee will be charged. If canceled 31-59 days before arrival, a 15 % charge will incur. If cancellation 30 days or less before arrival, a 50% charge will be taken. At 14 day before arrival, there will only be a refund of taxes, and security deposit- if paid.

  • The master bath has a double sink vanity and large mirror. It has a door to close it from the bedroom. There is a walk in shower. There is a linen closet with extra towels and linens in the bathroom. Towel racks and handy hooks for hanging wet bathing suits. A very sunny bathroom. The second bath has a combination tub and shower. There is a sliding glass door on the tub. There is a large vanity and mirror. The door is frosted, decorated glass that opens to the lanai area making it very bright and cheery. It is convenient to the twin and queen bedrooms. There is also a linen closet with extra towels in the bathroom. On the lanai we also have an out door shower for getting the chlorine out of your bathing suit or rinsing off tanning lotions before entering the pool.

  • The King bedroom has a 12 inch memory foam mattress. There is an adjacent bathroom to the king. Both the king and queen bedrooms have a sliding door to the lanai. All bedrooms have a lighted walk-in closet. There are two lamps as well as the overhead lights in all bedrooms. All bedrooms have an overhead fan. There is a side chair in each bedroom. The king and queen bedrooms have a 32 inch wall mounted TV. At least 3 walls in each bedroom have art work plus there is greenery and some type of art object in each bedroom.

Notes: We have a small john boat with small electric trolling motor for exploring the canals. We have two adult bikes and 3 children's bikes and there are 2 parks with playgrounds nearby. There are lots of beach towels, coolers, umbrella and beach toys for your trips to the beach. I have toys and books for kids as well as a few books and family games. There are some children's tapes and some adult tapes. All rooms are very well lit with overhead lights and lamps. There is very nice art work on the walls and greenery to make the house feel very homey. Start up paper products are included but you may need to purchase more. I also provide a few spices. There are many glasses and bowls and stainless steel pots and pans. I have melmac dishes for use on the lanai and stoneware for in the house.There are plenty of utensils and very nice heavy silver ware. Glass top stove, refrigerator with water and ice in the door, coffee maker, blender, toaster. Washer and dryer, wash tub in the laundry room.

Perfect Vacation

We found this property to be above our expectations, having stayed in many villas in Florida we found this to be one of the best. The boat was an added bonus and had loads of fun going up and down the canals, we spotted loads of wildlife in and around the canal, look out for the otters they were so much fun. The master bedroom and en-suite were very comfortable, and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub. Sanibel and Pine Island are a must see, and also try the pizza place on Hancock bridge Blvd. called I Ragazzi Pizza, they are the most welcoming people, and the food is delicious.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your kind comments. We have tried to provide nice amenities for our guests. If we feel the need for something when we are there, we assume our guests would probably also like to have the same things.

. I agree that it is a nice canal system with close access to the Shamrock Lakes, Saratoga, Kennedy and Alhambra Lakes. I thought that otter was going to dive into the boat the first time we met him while exploring!

And as you mentioned it is convenient to be not so far from Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Pine Island - the Matlacha Bridge, which I've heard is the busiest fishing bridge in Florida! Plus it is close and convenient to pizza, videos, grocery storres, pharmacies and fast food yet with the fence and trees you still have a set apart, private feeling when outside at the house.

The hot tub is a perfect ending for the many perfect days in Florida! I hope you will come back again some time!

The layout of house, lanai, pool and spa must be standard for Cape Coral. What's different here -- beyond the bikes and boat -- is that everything to make a great stay has been thought of and provided. Not just the terry robes, great after an evening dunk, or the extra power-bar at the computer desk, or even the scanner-printer loaded with paper; Karen and Ken have thought of everything. Reach for something that ought to be somewhere and it's right there.
We came to photograph birds (no better place in winter than Lee County) but enjoyed the lanai and the short ride to the seafood venues of Matlacha and just plain hanging out. First Class all the way.
(Suggestion: for a real hoot, contact the burrowing owl lady, who knows where the active burrows are.)
Not motel-modern -- this is a real home.

This 4-days stay was awesome. We were 2 couples and 1 child and felt better in this house than in our own. Everything is thinking to make your stay the most comfortable as possible. You find all you need and more (space, pool, jacuzzi, waterway bbq, bikes, fishing rods...). As written on signs in the house it is really the paradise. If we go back to Florida one day we will go there for sure !

Fantastic Villa

We stayed in this lovely villa for ten days and had a fantastic time. The property is clean and well cared for. Karen is a great host! In fact we have recommended the property to our friends, who will be staying at this villa in 6-7 weeks time. The villa is close to all amenties. The pool is in sunlight all day. We had a great time exploring the local canals and lakes in the boat provided. My husband particularly enjoyed the hot tub and feeding the local turtles from the dock. This is a must stay place!!!

Great stay!

We had a great time, the house and ammenities were perfect. Karen, thanks for the great accomodations. We have family I cape coral, but we didn't want to bother them with our 3 year old, especially with one of them battling cancer. This house was located centrally, and had more comforts then I would have ever thought of. The house and grounds are very well cared for. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit. Thanks again!
