Less than 2 hrs by car from New York City, this charming log-sided Cottage is quaintly nestled in the Poconos 5 minutes from Milford, PA. It is a paradise for those who seek the solitude of the country w/ the accessibility of charming nearby villages. Situated in a hemlock glen complete with w/ wild rhododendrons & a fresh water brook less than 15' away from the back door. Walk to a beautiful waterfall, 10 minutes up the road! Onsite & local activities include antiquing, hiking, biking, (bikes included!) waterfall sight seeing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, outlet shopping, fall foliage & more. Situated on a private acre w/ nature & wildlife in abundance. The interior boasts of an open space complete w/ a working stone fireplace, wireless internet, cable TV, vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, modern galley kitchen, charming loft & an additional small room for office or sleeping. Outside is a stone patio w/ Adirondack furniture directly behind the Cottage overlooking the brook.

Christmas in Wonderland

My husband and I wanted to get away to somewhere quiet for the holidays with our two small dogs and this was the perfect place! Our visit was so relaxing and just what we needed. The scenery was breathtaking and the cabin was decorated so beautifully and is so well kept. It has such a warm, cozy and rustic feeling yet provides all the conveniences of modern day life. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and never wanted to leave. Looking forward to staying here again very soon!

New Years Eve Getaway

Perfect getaway!
My wife, myself and our dog Lulu just returned from a very relaxing New Years Eve in this quaint, quiet and peaceful loft cabin located in picturesque Milford, PA.
Surrounded my mature Oaks and Pines and located on a stream, the Storybook Cottage was everything we had hoped for and more. Rustic on the outside with a fairly impressive modern galley kitchen it was actually better then advertised. The pictures don't do it justice.
A 2 minute drive to the center of town and about 10 minutes away some amazingly breath-taking hiking trails and waterfalls.
Can't wait to go back in the summer!

Weekend Respite

A well needed break and respite for an overworked couple. We absolutely loved the fireplace, stream and loft. Fully equipped and close to town, we had a wonderul time and hope to visit again!

Wonderful Cottage!

My partner and I stayed in the cottage with our Lab for almost a week and had a wonderful experience! The pictures are a great representation of the cottage--cozy, quaint and delightful. The cottage is situated literally feet from a stream and provides not only a great sight to look at but the sounds are great for sleeping or just relaxing. The atmosphere is great, the area is quiet and yet you are literally 5 minutes from downtown Milford with great restaurants and shopping "around the corner." The accommodations were great--I'd definitely recommend them to a couple or individual looking for a quiet place to stay that's pet friendly and provides you with great access to nature with the conveniences of a great town nearby. Try this one out!

Perfect Location for a Peaceful & Relaxing "Mini-Moon"

ALL WE CAN SAY IS WOW!!! This cottage was, in one word, blissful; and it was exactly what we needed for our "mini-moon" following our wedding. Sitting in the Adirondack chairs, resting beneath the cover of the gorgeous foliage with our dog at our feet and listening to the stream may have been the highlight of our stay!

The cottage and surrounding location was incredibly peaceful and you could feasibly never leave the cottage if that was what you should choose to do! The town of Milford itself, however, affords you many opportunities to hike, swim, shop and enjoy fine dining. We highly recommend the Laurel Valley Inn (name changing soon to Red Rock Inn). Fantastic food, wonderful service and very affordable!

Everything about this vacation was perfect. Thank you again for your hospitality and sharing your "home away from home" with us!
