My husband and I met while attending college at the University of Kansas. We have been married 25 years and have a son enrolled at our alma mater. Growing up in the Midwest created a desire in both of us to be near the ocean. This dream was fulfilled when we discovered Seabrook Island. Within moments of arriving, we knew we had found a home. We plan to spend the rest of our lives on this idyllic island!
After searching for vacation property for months, we were convinced that we would have to settle for less than our dream. Then we arrived on Seabrook Island. We didn't know that places like this existed. We fell in love instantly! The spectacular beach and perfectly tended grounds invited us to stay and the playful dolphins sealed the deal. Everything we could need or want was on this perfect little piece of paradise. The only downside is leaving!
Since Seabrook is a private island, you can enjoy all of its natural beauty without the crowds of public vacation spots. Many times I have walked the beach and only seen a handful of seagulls! It is one of the most peaceful and relaxing places on earth. You will find yourself saying repeatedly 'I love this place!' followed by what we call 'The Seabrook Sigh', and inevitably, 'Just one more day.'
