Notes: Built in 2008, the cottage and furnishings are spanking clean and new, with the charm of country living and the convenience of modern amenities. Bring your laptop and connect to the Internet via the owner’s wireless service. Watch all the TV channels you get at home. Or, if you want your kids to have the true country experience, I can remove the TV for your stay. Parking is available alongside the cottage for easy loading and unloading of bags and skis. There is no cell phone service in Granville, Vermont. The nearest reliable signal is about six miles away. However the telephone has unlimited long distance service. If you would like to have the fridge stocked in advance with breakfast supplies, let me know and I will send you a checklist to return to me. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for winter. Laundry facilities are available in the main house. Children under 14 years of age may not swim in the pond or ride in the boat without adult supervision. Sorry—no pets.

just perfect descibes the cottage that Mary has and rents. It accomadated my family of four just fine and was a perfect place for a skiing week at mad river glen. The owner is just as sweet as the place we stayed. Mary thank you again and I'm sure we will be back soon.

Perfect for romantic stay et Christmas holidays

Review Submitted: January 11, 2010 Date of Stay: December 2009
My girlfriend and I went to this cozy cottage for Christmas. We spent great holidays. The cottage is in a beautiful place. We found a fully equipped kitchen to cook the Christmas dinner and the woodstove was so romantic.

Mobile phones don’t work in Granville but with internet we were able to wish our families in France a merry Christmas. Mary Falcon, the owner, lives close to the cottage so when we needed something it was very easy to ask for it and she was always very helpful.

We were close (20 min) to Sugarbush for skiing and snowboarding. This is a good resort to skiing and in December this is not crowded. One day we hiked in this beautiful snowy landscape and went down slopes with the sledge available in the cottage.

Thank you for this great stay...We hope come again in some years..!!

This cottage was perfect. Near all major ski areas and has a wonderful, cozy, gas fireplace. Superb kitchen and comfy beds, the lady who owns the place could not have been sweeter, and more accomodating. We stayed for a week and loved every minute. The kitchen is substantial enough to make a big family dinner, and the place is close enought to go to all the great restaurants in the area. I would not stay anywhere else while visiting vermont!

The driveway is even big enough to go sledding right there! It's way nicer than the other places in the area. Totally clean (from a JW Marriot girl) and cozy.

The decorations in the cottage are classic Vermont. From the little antique snowshoes to the thoughtful privacy shades. Also, very well insulated, we were cozy and warm. Lots of light, a little house in the mountains.

Plenty of hot water for showers, etc. plenty of great hiking right from the cottage. We felt so safe we never even locked our door. The cottage has wireless internet and hundreds of tv stations on the tv with sattelite tv. Its all the creature comforts you could want, right near all the cool ski areas.

At 100 per night its a total bargain. Book this place before the owner decides to raise the rates!

Perfect And Peaceful...

pwb Asheville, NC
Review Submitted: October 21, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This was a great little place to stay for our family of four; it was small, but more than adequate for all of our needs. We woke to heavy frosts in the morning, but this little place stayed perfectly cozy throughout the night. All of the bedding was very warm and homey, and all of the details throughout put us right at home, even down to the great soap in the bathroom! It has a fully equipped kitchen with a great little gas stove, plenty of cookware, dishware, and utensils. It only took 10-15 minutes to drive to a nearby village market. The TV worked fine and received plenty of channels, but who would want to watch TV when your in such a beautiful place?! There is a perfect pond behind the main house on the property that just looked stunning at sunset, with the sun glittering over the mountains beyond. The property owner was exceptionally accommodating and if ever we had a need, she took care of it immediately. All in all, we had a marvelous time... thanks for the great stay!
