If exploring nature and a quiet, cozy, comfortable environment appeals to you, you will love Casa Coquina—within blocks of nature preserves, community center with tennis courts, as well as restaurants, antiques shops and much more. Casa Coquina is on the local historic register and is in the East Nokomis historic district. Featured on Home & Garden TV in 2005, the house is decorated with fun and funky 'old Florida' artwork and accessories. Comfy double beds in both bedrooms and two single daybeds provide lodging for up to six. A well-equipped modern kitchen is open to a spacious living room with comfortable sofas and a limestone fireplace where you can burn candles. Warm oak floors in the living rooms and heart pine floors in the bedrooms, cypress and knotty pine walls make the home feel like a Florida fishing lodge from years gone by. We even include a ukulele to use during your stay, and an optional free uke lesson from your host.
