Cabin was new and clean. Only downsides were no wifi which i thought i could live without but made it difficult when trying to research places to visit and eat with no wifi. Not much for a dining area if you have more than 4 people. Other than that all was great, comfortable beds and only 15 minutes from the slopes. Owner George was nice and easy to deal with.
If you are looking for a family getaway, this is it. The scenery is so beautiful and the cabin is so nice. Its like being at your own home. There is so much to do around the corner. I would recommend this for your next getaway.
The house was a very cute wooden house and had a nice 'cabin' feel to it. All the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty for our group of 4 adults and 5 children. I would agree with another review that family room sitting was a little on the lit side. It was very uncomfortable to be sitting in card table chairs in front of the fire. Another small sofa would've been perfect. The deck and views were great and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. On our visit, the area received a foot of snow the night before and a few more inches during our stay. Fortunately, I have a 4wd truck and there is no way to get up the hill to the house without one if snow/ice is on the ground. Our guests had to leave the SUV at the bottom. Even though that much snow is rare, with a foot of snow on the ground, it was difficult to see the ends of the driveway. You defiantly don't want to miss that. Overall, it was a great place, and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks George.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very well appointed and the owner answered my call when I had trouble getting the door open upon arrival. A few little quirks, however, are that there is NO internet, there is NO bathtub in the house, and there is NO tv in the main living area downstairs. Other than being a little dusty in places, it was very clean and there is a washer/dryer in the basement, which we found very convenient. The hot tub was amazing! And while the kitchen is small, you have everything you need. I would recommend, however, that the living/dining/kitchen space in the house be improved by adding another couch or chair as there is little space to sit, a larger dining table for the same reason, and an island or another table in the kitchen due to very little counter space. I would also like to see the tv's updated as they are very old and there was no HDTV. I do want to stress, however, that we had a great time and there was nothing wrong with the cabin. These are just little things that I think could be improved. If these little things were addressed, this would be a 5 star cabin all the way. We loved the location and the driveway was big enough and designed in a semi circle so that you didn't have to back out. Be sure to bring firewood with you as the fireplace was immense and a must use in the winter. I love having a real fire in a log cabin and while the heating in the cabin was excellent, we turned it down so that we could keep a fire going in the evenings. One thing not mentioned is that the couch in the loft is a pullout, making this more like a 5 bedroom cabin. We had more than enough space to sleep, but the common areas were a bit tight for 7 people. All in all, I highly recommend this cabin.
