This is the perfect spot to have a Grand Traverse Bay vacation, directly across from Old Mission Peninsula. The Elk Rapids area is an upscale resort offering many wonderful amenities. This is why this location is called 'Bayside Sunsets Residential Rental.'

This home is truly one of a kind with a definite five star rating. The home was built in 2000 with the vision of building a lakefront cottage emphazing the charm of a 1900's gathering place for the owner's family. Her home emphases a cozy, intimate, peaceful setting with a classic touch of beauty displayed in each room.

The house is GORGEOUS! It has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. The house welcomes you the minute you pull into the driveway, past its beautiful flower gardens, trimmed lawn and majestic trees. Then, when you walk in the front door, you know you selected the perfect vacation home.

It has expansive views of the bay. You will enjoy the incredible sunsets! Looking towards Old Mission Peninsula the sunset dramatically displays blazing colors of orange, red and pink over the lake's horizon. In all of this glory the sunset disappears leaving a sky full of stars to be enjoyed.

Enjoy the brick patio surrounded by gardens while barbecuing your favorite meal on the grill, as the children play in the sand and water. The sandy beach is magnificient. There are no nasty weeds, only the rich sugar sand to enjoy. The water level extends a great distance before depth increases, very safe for children. So be sure to relax on the beach or go for a swim.

It is perfect for fishing, boating, tubing, skiing, or just sitting in that comfortable beach chair with your feet at the waters edge, reading your favorite book that you never have time for. Enjoy a beach fire, roasting marshmallows to a perfect golden brown.

Head north for a two mile walk into the friendly/ quaint village of Elk Rapids. The village has antique shops; the very best in art galleries; in the state of Michigan our marinia was voted #1; fine restaurants to please your palatte; cross the bridge on River Street to check out a book at our island library, visit our newly relocated historical museum at 301 Traverse St. to learn the 1848 history of Elk Rapids and beyond. On your way back stop at the village's kids park. Or take a hike and explore Petobego Pond to the south. This is our local nature preserve where swans, deer, small animals and wild berries thrive. There are many golf courses, Turtle Creek Casino, great shopping and 'find' dining in Traverse City. Check out the many wineries in Leelanau and Old Mission Pennisula. Don't forget to visit historical Mackinaw Island and the famous Sleeping Bear Dunes.
