Guestbook comments from the owner
Sorry for the delay in responding..I’ve been jetting from country to country to country the last week. Thank goodness I have the spirit and the memories of a wonderful few Valley days in my mind (and the pics on my phone). We had a magical time! Your home was absolutely perfect…everything we could imagine was at our finger tips. And, there were some fantastic surprises that our son (2) loved...The basket of animals and trucks, the kids books and, of course, the sled. I loved pulling him in the fresh snow on the old train track. We built snow men, made snow angels and played with the never-ending stream of face-licking dogs that bounded our way.
When we weren’t skiing in fresh powder on Baldy…and marveling that there were NO lines (tired legs!), we enjoyed a day up at Galena XC skiing in the back country with our son in tow in the snow chariot. Love that place. I think one winter we will stay in a yurt.
Thanks for your kind words about how we left the house. We tried. Glad it was OK for your next guests. I know it was a short turnaround time. And, of course, I really appreciate your invitation to return. That is special. And, we will. We love Sun Valley (and your home) so much that not even a 9 hour time zone difference will keep us away. Next time we’ll hopefully be able to stay longer.
Again thanks for all your enthusiasm, guidance and caring hospitality.
This townhouse was purchased after selling our home in Hailey and moving to Hood River, OR. We wanted to keep our 'roots' in Sun Valley and we love our weekend getaways to our second home in Ketchum. We've attempted to make this townhouse as comfortable as our full-time home and hope you will feel the same warmth, joy and comfort as we do when we spend time here! Please make yourselves at home in our home and enjoy all the wonders Sun Valley has to offer.
We love this location because we can ski to the lifts in less than 5 minutes, jump on the bikes and ride out to the new Golf/Nordic center or into town for shopping, a meal, a movie or a walk to the river with our little boys to seek out fish and rocks to throw...all from our front door. No loading up the car with gear...we just grab our skis or bikes and GO! You can't get more convenient than that.
We love being able to look up at the mountain from our living room and master bedroom. Walking/skiing to the lifts is about the best benefit you can get while staying in a ski town. Walking access to the bike path and river and downtown Ketchum are wonderful too!
