4bd/3ba, sleeps 12 in 6 queen sized beds. Room for 4 more on 2 queen sized self inflating air mattresses, approx. 3,100 sq. ft. situated on a 450 acre ranch. Year-round access great winter stay rates. Fabulous holiday retreat!

It is charming, modern and comfortable and ready for a family gathering, wedding, anniversary or a romantic get-away. The house has three levels, with two beds upstairs (one in a private bedroom the other in the loft area), one bedroom on main floor, and two bedrooms in the basement. One of the two basement bedrooms has two queen sized beds.

It has three full bathrooms one on each floor. The bathroom upstairs has a jetted Jacuzzi tub, large enough for two, and glass enclosed shower. The other 2 bathrooms are full sized. Our 11 acre Lake provides great swimming, picnicking, fishing, ice skating, paddling and more.

PLEASE NOTE: A Cottage Home is also available to rent 50 yds away from Log House. Adds two bedrooms, 1 bath and sleeps 4 additional people.

About the Log House/Cabin: The Log House offers incredible view of The Beartooth Mountain Range, and view of a small pond and year round creek from the living room's large cathedral style windows. On the Ranch there is also a private trout lake, about eleven acres in size, and several beaver ponds. All offer trout fishing to guests and is within easy walking distance for all. If river fishing is what you are after the Stillwater River is only 10 minutes drive, Rosebud Creek the same distance and the Yellowstone River is only 20 minutes drive away. Because of the abundance of water and tree cover this section of land draws wildlife of all kinds. Some wildlife can be seen from the living room's windows as they walk past. Open and accessible all year round. Every season is as beautiful as the next.

Views, Fishing and Wildlife: At the Ranch there are outdoor activities like walking, sightseeing, photography, swimming or fishing at the private lake. There is a dock with a picnic table if you want to pack a cooler and spend a good long time soaking up the sun and scenery. The Ranch is a short distance to spectacular hiking trails, mountain biking, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing, white water rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, the famous Beartooth Highway, Absarokee Days, historic Red Lodge and its annual rodeo and mountain man rendezvous, quaint towns with great gift shops in Absarokee and Fishtail, ATV rentals, wagon tours & sleigh rides, Stillwater Art & Wine Festival, or a day trip into Yellowstone National Park. The route to Yellowstone from the Ranch is breathtakingly beautiful, going over the Beartooth Highway to the Top of the World, then through the historic mining town of Cooke City.

Nearby: Yellowstone Park is approximately 2.5 hours drive away. Billings Airport is approximately 1 hour drive. Located equal distance, about 10-15 minute drive to shops, grocery and fuel in Absarokee or Fishtail.

Thanksgiving reunion

We had family from England to California. We had 14 people. We all had lots of room and it worked out wonderfully. Roxanne is very gracious and great to work with for whatever your needs are. They have the best home grown honey! Truly a Big Sky Ranch with beautiful mountains and streams. Make sure you get to Montana Jacks for a lunch or dinner. thanks again for a great time

It was an excellent experience. We had a group of 10 people who were invited to a wedding at the Quaking Aspen Ranch and wanted a place to stay. It was an unforgettable time with friends. We fished and paddled around the private lake. The view is magnificent! I would highly recommend this to anyone and are planning another trip to just hang out. The Dunn's were fabulous and very welcoming. You can't beat the price or accommodations!!!!!

Another amazing vacation!

We just finished our second trip to the White Deer Ranch and we will definitely continue to make this one of our vacation destinations! Quiet, relaxing and beautiful only begin to describe the experience we have had at the ranch. From the fishing and swimming in the lake to the baby goats and farm fresh eggs, it is a week to remember. Thanks to Lee and Roxanne for allowing us to share in the peacefulness of their ranch!

Several of my Grandchildren and I spent 7 nights in the log cabin at White Deer Ranch, and we highly recommend it, as well as the smaller rock house.
Roxanne and Lee are truly good people, and exceptionally hospitable and responsive to questions and requests. The ranch is in a perfect location, and the cabin is thoughtfully appointed for a stress-free, fresh air, Big Sky experience. We will be back.

Christmas at White Deer Ranch

Our family spent Christmas at the White Deer Ranch. The cabin was great! The views were breathtaking and the cabin was large enough to accommodate our family with room for privacy and a chance to be apart. Roxanne even decorated for Christmas! It was very cozy and comfortable. They allowed us to have our dogs, which was important to us. We had Christmas dinner at the cabin and we found the kitchen to be functional, spacious, and well equipped. The owners were available for support if needed, but left us alone to enjoy our family-time together. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a large group of people.
