House, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-8)

Beautiful mountain home in the town of Camp Nelson, California. Located in Giant Sequoia National Monument, a short walk to the Tule River, the Camp Nelson store, and the local bar and diner. Many beautiful hiking trails in the area through Giant Sequoia groves and other forest habitats, and with amazing views of high peaks. Local events in the meadow during the summer months and a great place to have a wedding or family reunion in the historical Lodge or our large meadow operated by the Nelson Conservancy. The best-kept secret in the Sierra!

About The Owner

We are a family of four, and live in Santa Cruz. We love Santa Cruz, and we also love the Sierra Nevada. We have owned this house and have been part of the Camp Nelson community for many years, as I have been coming here since I was a small child. We like being able to share our Camp Nelson home with other people when we are not able to be there.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996
Why The Owner chose Camp Nelson

We bought this house because we enjoy Camp Nelson so much. I love giant sequoias, and there are more groves in this area than anywhere else I have found.

What makes this house unique

I love sitting on the deck watching the evening light play on the mountain, walking to the river to enjoy the sound and sight of the water, the rocks, the birds and the fish, hiking near green meadows and seeing views of high peaks, and much more.

Rest & relaxation from the hustle & bustle of the city.

Private road with only 2 other homes off it, outdoor fire pit to enjoy the cool mountain evenings while stargazing and a 2 level deck area one more shaded and the other more with more sun exposure, walking distance to the Nelson's Tavern, Camp Nelson store and fishing at the river, short drive to the Giant Sequoia's.
