Party Street!

Arriving after a long flight and feeling slightly jaded we were quickly woken up by the street party going on outside the apartment!!. A noisy introduction to life in Battery Street - but a good sign that it was a real neighbourhood and not a tourist only enclave.
What a great location, in the heart of the North side with its lively mix of restaurants, tourist sites, bakeries and hustle and bustle. However, just a few hundred yards away you can enjoy the peace and quiet of a stroll on the Waterfront and a quiet drink overlooking the bustling harbour.
Boston itself is a great city with plenty to keep the tourist interested. Even as a Scot with little interest in Baseball a trip to Fenway Park was still a great experience. The city is easy to get around either on foot or by Underground and once you get a hang of the ' Charlie Pass' then travel is relatively inexpensive (or is that living up to the stereotype!).
For the historically minded there are all the sights of the freedom trail but to be truthful it is just a great city to chill out in. The natives are friendly and polite (despite the numbers of visitors) and are a credit to this stunning City.
The Apartment itself lived up fully to the descriptions and comments of previous guests (Including the uncomfortable bed) and was clean, tidy and well presented.

Owner's Response: Dear Bill and Moira, I'm very happy that you enjoyed your stay in the North End. After receiving recent comments and realizing that the sofa bed has become uncomfortable, I have purchased a new bed which will be in the apartment this weekend! So the apartment will now have a queen-sized platform bed with a thick and cushy mattress. Thank you to all of my guests for your comments, and apologies for the uncomfortable bed. I hope to make the apartment more comfortable for future visits, to compliment it's fabulous location!
Best,
Christine
