This is one of the best locations in the Northeast. We are only 800' from Sachuest Beach, also known as Second Beach, featuring some of the best surfing on the east coast. The more than a mile long beach is perfect for sun bathing and all kinds of fun in the sun including kayaking, fishing and boating. Newport with its fantastic shopping, night life and restaurants is only a five-minute drive or a short bike ride away. We are very close to St. George's School with wonderful tennis courts. This apartment is located in a large historic carriage house. This two level apartment is private and has just been renovated. There are three bedrooms (2 with a queen size bed in each and one with a trundle bed) and one bath. The apartment features hardwood floors and a beautiful kitchen. This apartment also has a washer and dryer, cable, WiFi and off-street parking. There is an ocean access easement from the property.

This is the best location on the east coast. The beach is just a five minute walk away. Downtown Newport with its shopping, nightlife and fantastic restaurants is just a five minute drive or short bike ride away. So many things to see and do like biking around Newport and hiking around Sachuest point and the Norman bird sanctuary. Of course the beach is right here with all that it has to offer - basking in the sun, surfing in the waves, swimming in the cool water, sailing, windsurfing - you name it. The events that take place here during the summer are too numerous to count - every kind of music festival you can imagine, film festival, tall ships festival, chowder cook-offs to name just a few. Can't think of a better vacation spot in the northeast.

My husband, son and I have lived at this location for many years. Everything you could want is here. The ocean, the excitement of Newport. The changing of the seasons. My son is an avid surfer - just a five minute walk to the surf. We love to bike around Newport and hike around Sachuest point and the Norman bird sanctuary. The events that take place here during the summer are too numerous to count - every kind of music festival you can imagine, film festival, tall ships festival, chowder cook-offs to name just a few. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Wonderful location, beautiful, quaint home. We had a girls' weekend at the cottage and couldn't have found a better place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The location was awesome. We will definitely store this place away as a future destination. The whole process of renting, paying and having our refund restored was so easy.

Bass Rocks Carriage House upper apartment. A lovely, spacious, picturesque and comfortable apartment. Even though it was March, it was great to be able to see the ocean from the living room and loft, as well as the observation deck. And it was only a short walk to Second Beach - nothing like watching the sun come up from the beach with a cup of coffee in hand.

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and well furnished, including coffee pot & coffee & tea, towels, TVs, comfortable beds. The full kitchen allows cooking as desired. It has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation with a group of friends and family, big or small.

Wonderful Cottage

Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Five adults had plenty of room. One bathroom, but we made it work. Very clean home with all the amenities you need. Beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs were available (though too cold for us this trip). Water and welcome snacks were a great touch! We loved the fresh flowers, too. We had too many people drying hair and ironing clothes at the same time and blew a breaker. The owner was very quick to respond to our request to have that corrected. Overall - highly recommend.

Always a wonderful vacation!

This was our second stay at this property and were as happy as the first time we enjoyed this cottage. The space is always clean and well maintained. It has such a warm and welcoming feel that we never want to leave! I would highly recommend this property; we planned to enjoy it for years to come!

The cottage is clean, well care for and the owner Trish is very nice. You will find everything that you need to go to the beach ( Chairs and towels). The beach is beautiful, soft sand and nice waves, a great place for families with kids. You have a five minutes walk to the beach from de cottage and a 5 minutes by car to downtown Newport. You will need to drive 5 to 10 minutes to go to the grocey but you have a 2 minutes drive to go to the convenient store. Every thing is pretty near. You will find nice shops and boutiques in Newport a very nice environment. The city have alot of charm. The only thing is that their is no AC in the cottage and it is very hot on the second floor. This summer in August was very hot and humid and we had difficulties to sleep. I will suggest the owner to consider AC in the cottage. Also their is no phone so bring your cell just in case. Nice ktichen but if you cook alot you won't find what you need, as thier is the minimun to prepare your meal.
