We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The view is beautiful! Both you and the cabin layout were very accommodating. Over the past fifteen years of visiting the Murphy area we never get tired of the many "day trips" to surrounding areas. During our stay we met a couple of your friendly neighbors who provided some helpful current information and insight. We look forward to vacationing at your cabin again when the time presents itself.
Beautiful cabin with great view. Ample space for 3 people. Would certainly come back!
Winter was the time chosen. It's the place to spend time cooking, eating, laughing, talking, singing, playing, joking, resting, planning and discussing different issues as a family. Everyone did just what they wanted, but mostly relaxed. Oh the scenery!!!!! Getting up in the morning with a hot cup of coffee and looking out to the mountains below seeing the smoke coming out of the different chimneys, the steep slopes, the squirrels traveling down the tree trunks to the feeders by the porch....was enough to give thanks to the Creator of all things for giving us the opportunity to be as a family away from the daily routine. Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. No connection problems because we bought a hot-spot. It was very clean and organized. It's spacious, comfortable, cozy, well designed, equipped and stocked up with the essentials. The location is awesome. It is so quite, so high up on the mountain...the air so crisp. It's really enjoyable to walk up and down the gravel road in the morning listening to the different birds (like wild turkeys) fill up the air with their rhythm. A small local farmers market was at the base of the mountain and it gave us the ability to buy fresh vegetables every day. Went to the grocery store and the people were very friendly....even gave us a discount after finding out it was our first time in the neighborhood. I drove down to town to explore different kinds of restaurants....but the family was not interested after seeing the menus.
Driving around the curvy roads, we discovered a goat farm sign and followed the directions. Visiting this farm was something spontaneous , but the kids loved it. All kinds of goats and stories about each one of them were told by the owners.
We enjoyed the chimney while watching movies. The owners were fantastic, available at all times and answered every question we had.
If the opportunity swings by, we would do it all over again.
We stayed five days in August, and we had a wonderful time. This cabin has everything you need. All the conveniences of home, and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, and everything worked beautifully. And that view from the deck is just awesome. So relaxing to sit and view the beautiful scenery. Very affordable. It is conveniently located to many activities and attractions. The owners are great in answering any questions you have. I would highly recommend this cabin. We loved it so much we decided to buy a cabin for our own.
Clean, Comfy, Cozy, Beautiful, and Affordable....
These are all words to describe this gem of a place.
We had such a great and relaxing time!
Stayed for the 4th of July weekend. We were able to see the fireworks display from the deck. Our daughter had a blast climbing up and down the stairs all weekend! The view is just amazing, like a beautifully painted piece of art! Even saw a family of deer on the path up to the driveway. Went to Fires Creek in Hayesville, it's about 30-45 minutes away, but well worth it. The chalet is exactly as described and more, very clean and comfortable! You will not be disappointed...
The chalet was very comfortable and completely as described.
We went to the Possum Drop in Brasstown which was good clean family fun. Clay County is dry so 'most everybody there was sober. You have to be tough and very well dressed to stand around in 27 degree weather for two hours, but it was still fun.
